Wow. You can see the intelligence of the famous Meng Lan, AKA escape artist. So curious , thoughtful, and adventurous. Thoughtful, as evidenced by not approaching nanny with the usual headlong cubbie trot bc he understands she is moving him out of the way for a reason. I truly believe on a panda scale he has an extraordinary IQ with a superior understanding. Bubbles Awesome she’s actually a professional that’s been caring for pandas for several years. If you don’t understand the situation, please don’t bash her like that. Pandas are heavier and protected by their thick coats, thus the lady can be a little rough when handling the cub. Of course, if the cub was a human baby, the nanny would be much more gentle.

She's not rough. You can tell she loves these Pandas. He's huge and heavy, but she wasn't rough. If he felt threatened in the least and not cared by her, he wouldn't keep coming to her. This is the same Panda she earlier tried to teach how to walk. Obviously he loves her. People need to get a life

Yes, Ms Mei took care of Meng Lan since he was born, and Meng Lan is her favorite. This baby is now in Beijing Zoo, about 3 yo, extremely cute n funny.

Certainly there can be no reason that I'm able to see that letting the little guy play in a pile of leaves would hurt anything. Dogs and kids love jumping in a big pile of leaves...and so does our cat. "Little Guy" would be no different. And, any idea about what the abuse is all about??? I haven't see any...have you???

@@ethelnewberry151 what abuse?? He is a bear, there are enough videos of them falling off tree tops, seemingly it doesn't hurt cause they have a very thick coat,pandas are climbing again,so dragging of carrying like that doesn't hurt a bit..just watch some more videos and you'll understand

Its easy to forget someone else is there - the camera person. The panda never bothers with that person though, the little rascal is determined to mess around with Mei. There's a special connection between those two.

When she took him to the yard the first time, he sat there like his life was over😂

They are beautiful, so playful. I just love them.

When I was visiting this park about 10 years ago, there was this big grown up panda climbing a tree, it was pretty high up, when it slipped and fell to the ground. All of the visitors were very worried, but the staff member nearby didn’t rush to check on it and was just watching instead. The panda got back up, sneezed and went to eat or something, the staff turned to us and waved his hand to tell everyone not to worry. I’m pretty sure some pushing around is not hurting those big guys

Panda: Those are my leaves and l got them right where l want them. You are not stealing my leaves. Panda strategy. 1. Lay on leaves 2. Interfere with sweeping 3. Try to destroy leaf removal tools 4. Try to hold leaf removal basket. 5. Block door so leaf thief cant get in 6. Block door so leaf thief cant get out. 7. Sit at door scowling at leaf thief.
