Saturday, May 13, 2023 This is the Shabani family of western gorillas taken at Higashiyama Zoo. First, Ai approaches Shabani and Shabani reacts. She appeared to be courting fiercely. Then Kiyomasa was messing with Ai. After that, Shabani and Kiyomasa continued to fight for a long time. 2023年5月13日 土曜日 東山動物園で撮影したニシゴリラのシャバーニ一家です。 はじめにアイがシャバーニに近づきそれにシャバーニが反応。 激しく求愛している様に見受けられました。 それからキヨマサがアイにちょっかいを出していました。 その後､シャバーニとキヨマサが長い時間攻防を続けてましたね。

That is the only time I've watched two adults play/bond. I'm so glad Shabani is generous with his family.

Shabani was so very respectful of and playful with Ai's gentle, submissive displays! Their communication and understanding seems to be advancing. To me, that shows a great chance at a future. ❤🦍❤

Ai has the most beautiful eye color. Is it Amber? Or a brownish red maybe. Very pretty😊

I was thinking the same! Her eyes are a piercing amber color! Shabani respectfully, and playfully messing with Ai when she was obviously offering to mate, was a great sign! Dr Kiyomasa looked to be checking her thoroughly; seemingly tender and concerned. I don't know if those were advances or what, but if they were, Ai completely dismissed them. Incredible!

She is gorgeous! I don’t think I’ve ever seen her dad. And I haven’t seen a very young Nene yet. Annie looks so much like dad but I’m seeing little glimpses of Ai especially when they are side by side.

Again, this troupe is such an interesting group with the personalities an dynamics. Haoko is brother doesn’t seem as vibrant. He’s also a great dad but seems more reserved he doesn’t display as much but they all are wonderful an soo different love watching

She was calm, very submissive, and offering to mate as Shabani respectfully kept his distance, but played with her. Ai has run from Shabani's advances in the past, so her taking the lead and Shabani playing is a wonderful sign of them having a future!

Kiyomasa si stava assicurando che Ai stesse bene, ha guardato le sue mani,i piedi,i denti,il naso, dott. Kiyomasa 😊. Misa' che Ai non gradiva tanto essere visitata da lui, stava flertando con Shabani ed era cosi tranquilla e felice. Kiyomasa sei un adorabile rompiscatole!❤️🍀❤️

Questo è un punto acuto. Anche Ai ha una ferita al petto e pensa che il colpevole sia Shabani, ma Kiyomasa ha confermato tutto. Era una spiegazione soddisfacente.

That "fight" between Shabani and Kiyomasa was the son letting the father know he is still king. Neither one showed aggression, especially Shabani. If this were a real fight, poor Kiyomasa would come out the loser. Shabani is bigger, heavier, and wiser. This is Kiyomasa letting Shabani he isn't planning to disrupt the family rules (much).

Somebody please get this Silverback a room! He has to be the only gorilla, in the world, with performance anxiety! Everytime Ai gets her chance, he is too busy looking nervously at the crowd! Poor Shabani. How did he ever make the two kids he has?😢

Thank you for your comment 😊 Shabani had two children at the same time. Nene and Ai. Shabani had two children at the same time. Oki, an older female who didn't get along with Shabani, died and Shabani joined the group. After that, his mother Nene was close to Ai, so maybe she was being reserved?

6:26 Kiyomasa eyeballing Dad playing with Ai. She looks very interested this day. Of course, Kiyomasa had to go put his bid in. He better be careful or Shabani will do a full beat down on him. Not wise to mess with the king's females. I hope the zoo already has plans to move Kiyomasa.

Ai is a terrible flirt, Shabani knows now. She has shamelessly flirted in the past almost right down to the act and then backs out she has done this many times lol. I don't know how he got her pregnant.

the way kyomasa was concerned about Ai,if he was little bigger he would of kill Shabani for sure,he was angry you can tell when he was inspecting Ai
