上賀茂社家町の散策 : Walking Around Kamigamo Shake-machi(Kyoto, Japan)

Фильм және анимация

上賀茂の社家町から糺の森までを散策いたしました。普段の散歩コースもカメラを手に散策してみると二葉姫稲荷神社に参拝出来たりと新たな発見がありました。

@Anonymous Person a lot about culture, not to say anything bad, but when I was in India and Middle East years ago, I saw a lot of trash on the streets and asked about it. I was told that people are not feelling responseable for things outside their homes. And where there is a weak civil society and of cause poverty people care less. But I was very suprised in South India in very beautiful landscapes that people just throw their trash out where they lived. Why make your own street or area ugly and smelly. I would at least dump it a mile away from home 😁

The town is not only beautiful, but is built gracefully about the stream that runs through it. Isn't that Satoyama? The concept of humans living in harmony with the environment? It's not woo-woo but a useful way to utilize resources like water while returning them to their natural state, as I understand it. I love how the people are not only able to manage this balance, but can do it beautifully. But the only thing that is more beautiful is your cinematography. Thank you for bringing this to us.

@@user-be1jx7ty7n "Seemingly" is the key - it may look man-made but the point of the Satoyama concept is to utilize resources and use the river's power, while still allowing life to flourish within it within the village, then returning the water as close to its natural state as possible so that it can once again become part of the natural environment. Even if it were in fact a canal, that does not meant the water quality cannot be preserved and returned close to its natural state. And it's not even a canal - if it were, they wouldn't allow it to twist and turn as a natural stream does. I saw a documentary on Satoyama, and this village and the way it is built about the stream follows that concept.

Satoyama is a Japanese word , not its real name . It is a philosophy originated and developed in China and it's real name is "天人合一“ , that means the people and the environment can be integrated into one . Building is a way to show this philosophy , but it is not enough. Japan like a steam , a beautiful and unique steam , while China is a sea .

From the first chord of the background music, to the last visual of the road with a single person walking the path, you have given us another beautiful piece of your work this late summer day. The changing of nature is my favorite time, as the seasons turn upon themselves with the colors of nature, along with the cool and breezy mornings. I wish I could walk that path at the end....and see where it might take me. Your story this Sunday morning is nothing but a blessing for those of us that take the time to pause along our own journey and reflect. Arigatou my friend, as always....stay safe.

I wish that in some parts, or all of it, there's no background music. It would be an enhancement to such a beautiful video, a pleasure to listen to the noise of the surrounding as if I was actually there. The sound of the early morning, the singing birds, the stream, the rustling leaves in the gentle breeze, the human voices, the humming cars etc.

Hi, Anna! I can say that I end my day with your film, the story of one of the places unmatched as beauty, on this Earth! Maybe I'm lucky enough to dream there! Is there anything more perfect than nature? Every leaf, every stone, every tree or flower is created without mistake, like shape, color, smell and place. Autumn brings to Japan a regal of images, which more of that gorgeous! As any window looks, you have a magical painting, and looking beyond them, the magnificent ensemble takes your breath! The ancient buildings, the temples, every element has been framed so as to harmonize with everything that surrounds it! Thank you for the dream you gave me! I wish you a light, bright soul full of joy for this whole period of autumnal symphony! 💜

Your videos always inspire researching the places you show us. I thus discover that the collective mission of the Shimogamo and Kamigamo Shrines is to safeguard Kyoto from malign influences. Well, your videos prove that they’ve done a very good job! Another discovery is that amongst the many companies owned by the Mitsui family was Sapporo Breweries. It’s pleasant to think of them sitting back behind those sliding doors, enjoying the view over the moss garden whilst sipping their own beer.
