川崎貨物駅にある神奈川臨海鉄道の塩浜機関区
公道からもディーゼル機関車の整備や出区の様子を見ることができていつ行っても最高の場所です。子供のころに近くに住んでいたら飽きずに見に行っただろうなぁ、と思いながら今日はどんな機関車がいるのか楽しみにしながら何度も訪れています。
今回はこれから入換作業をするDD5516がエンジンをかけて点検をしている様子をひたすらにボーッと眺める動画です。アイドリング音は癒やされますねぇ。単調な風景になりそうですが、広大な川崎貨物駅が隣接しているため他の機関車が休むまもなく入換作業をしたり末広町へ向けてタンカー列車が発車していきます。

It's a great place to visit any time of the year, because you can see the maintenance of the diesel locomotives and the departure of the locomotives from the public road. If I had lived near there as a child, I would have never gotten tired of going there to see the locomotives.
This time, it's a video of DD5516, which is running its engine and doing its inspection. The idling sound is soothing. It may seem like a monotonous scene, but since the vast Kawasaki freight station is adjacent, other locomotives are working without a break, and tanker trains are departing for oil factory
