His v trigger is actually pretty good now that level 1 fireballs are -2 and level 2 are 0 on block Ryu can confirm midscreen light tatsu into ex dp and a lot of other fun stuff ryu actually got bumped up a lot in Arcade edition imo

Meo S his v trigger 2 is worse 80% player base avoid ryu when he has v2 to active i dont think will go back to ryu for major tournaments he will remain guile his the same as season 2 garbage only thing he has is a v trigger cancel into for standing fowered heavy punch and the donkey kick

Eh, I wish he would play him again but it's really unlikely. That damage output is still horrendous. Any character could have killed that gief after that stun, but Ryu? Nah, not even with 2 bars smh

This vid is one of the best i ever seen in terms of editing, really well done

EX donkey kick opens up a lot potential for Ryu, as well as the range buff to crouching medium kick. He feels like he's in a much better place than before.

it's sad that ex donkey kick -> shoryuken = kick out oponent too far from you and neutral game restart, you don't have any further pressure

That last Sakura player! I was surprised to see someone who didn't do many actions but controlled space very well. Clever and a little bit hard to read but rushdown usually deals with these players. They are comfortable playing in a patient manner. Nice compilation!

it doesnt even seem to work as a anti air either, which is odd since it was always a anti air super in the old games. It was on this showcase of the new v triggers. The shinryuken would trade with a jump attack. Damage trade in favor of the jump attack.

Havent Capcom stressed in their VT2 showcase that shinryuken is NOT an antiair? It gets beaten by everything. From my experience it goes well as a whiff punish. Hit box is deceptively wide.

yes, it's designed to not anti air well. However it has vacuum properties.

Except in TvC, all versions wallbounce once per combo and he gets good follow-up combos afterward which combined with DHC with someone like Zero makes it a devastating tool.

I would be really happy if Daigo came back to Ryu in S3. I don't mind him using Guile or other top tier characters, he's a pro so using everything in your power to win is fair deal but I can't just imagine Daigo without Ryu, there's too much history between the two I just want it to continue you know.

Cammy and Rashid are still overpowered ... hope they both get nerf in next patch. Great to see Daigo with Ryu again and the Evil-costume is nice. Maybe Capcom will bring Evil Ryu and Violent Ken, cause both are part of the core-story from Street Fighter.
