I really enjoyed the first year of SF6, I wish I could make more time to play it. Very nice change from the SFV launch. Thank you for all you do to create a sense of community, which is what really makes these games great for me.

All I can say is that this is the first SF game since SF2 that's made me want to actually learn the game on a deeper level and not just drop it after a few fun hours mashing buttons at launch.

Capcom should release dlc characters first and update world tour later that way they can have 2 separate announcements. This would keep a good flow of info to keep people happy.

Request: a short series on what the upcoming DLC characters should be BAD at. If a character that excels in everything is broken, based on their appearances in previous games, who should be weak in neutral, or have no corner carry, or a hard time fighting zoners?

World Tour Mode is awesome. My only criticism is that I can't have overlapping motions like Luke's Flash Knuckle and Ryu's Tatsu. Also, when my controller started drifting and I had to basically disable my left stick and play on Dpad, Modern Controls was a very nice option to relieve the "I can't always DP" situations that I read correctly after learning how to use them. This isn't something I'd assume was thought of when they were being created but a happy accident of circumstances shows the benefit of Modern Controls.

Pls dont play on analog stick. I started with them on the x360 cuz that 360 dpad was trash. But playing fighters on analog breaks them so quickly I had to buy new controllers every couple of months. A dpad will last you way longer than that, and theyre also just better once you get used to them.

@@junior1388666 It still ultimately comes down to personal preference. Sure, d-pad is objectively better, but comfort is king, at the end of the day. Players like Nuckledu and Endingwalker play on analog stick not because it's "better" per se, but they just prefer it. Same goes for a lot of people as well.

@@runbaa9285 that's crazy, didint even know those guys played on analog. I was just saying from personal experience. It was better for my play and my wallet. Its also nice to preserve my normal controller since i enjoy playing single player games on it. It also may be worth buying a fightpad. I paid 50 bucks for a hori commander 10 years ago and it still works flawlessly.

@junior1388666 There are actually gamepads with hall-effect analog sticks. They use hall-effect tech to prevent stick drifting. It's an actually an old tech that SEGA used to use for their console's controllers. But well... if Sony and Microsoft implement anti-drifting tech for their controllers, they can't sell more controllers, lmao. Newer first party controllers are inherently designed to break down over time. So scummy, lol...

I was okay with buying the ultimate edition back in october, but 50 for the next season is rough. I can justify it now, somewhat... Because ill probably play the new characters a little, but at the same time... If it goes on for 6 seasons, thats 100 euro + 5x50, so 350 euros on street fighter by the time im done. Idk how i feel about that.

To me, here's the thing: yes, games are a lot more expensive to develop. The developers *do* need more income, and if gamers are unwilling to pay 80 - 90 USD for the base game, DLC makes sense. BUT... it's one thing to sell DLC, and another to use tactics like selling coins whose value never lines up with what you want to buy. It's not the WHAT it's the HOW. They don't NEED to do it that way to turn a good profit: they do it that way because they want *even more* profits, and it may be legal (for now), but it's morally questionable at best.

I really like that they stuck to the 1 year plan. In retrospect probably a bit long in the modern landscape, but how are you ever gonna prove that's the case if you don't let it bare out. They've given us evidence at the other end on the point of the spectrum now to contrast against the landscape of games that a lot of people quite rightly think get patched far too soon and too frequently, everyone can make better decisions now with more data to look at on the question of "Patching; when and how often?". One year is probably a BIT too much and one week is probably a bit too reactionary, only in the case of something broken that needs addressing ASAP of course

I think the thing is just knowing how to do defense. Because there ARE defensive players in this game and they can almost always stuff a drive rush, they can perfect parry, they know when to parry and not, they have good knowledge of when to do what with their resources and when their opponents would or would not be. So I think you just have to change your style of defense to match the game.

It’s mostly just that footsies is not nearly as emphasized as in SFV, SF4, SF3…etc. In this game you can just fireball driverush. Or just raw driverush, and every character has ways to stop their momentum to bait a check. Not to mention the corner being so dangerous in this game that giving up space is a lot more punishing than in previous titles.

If the fighter pass had a costume for an actual character & not the Mii, it would be a popular buy . Then after the pass is done, allow players to buy the costume individually if they want it . If this happened, I can see the pass going up in price, provide more drive tickets & also last longer . 2 months instead of 3 weeks to allow the devs time to develop a costume . My 2 cents

I still really hate how the combo system works in general. It just feels jank to me and its very specific in the routes youre allowed to do. Unless you nerd out with frame data inbthe lab it feels extremely unintuitive. It feels especially gross coming off of strive which feels smooth as butter to do combos and has alot of freedom of expression even if not as much as previous GGs. Season 2 changes along with the dlc will help but i still actively feel bad playing it. Hopefully Terry fixes that

I think the main issue with the first year of SF6 was just the lack of balancing patches. The meta for this game was practically set in stone and it grew stale. I really hope they revisit the balance at least every 6 months.

I had to stop playing despite player count and the good the netcode the matchmaking is awful. Tekken 8 currently has way less players yet I get matches in seconds there it takes some times 10 minutes in sf6 then often I get matched against the sane guy over and over again. Having such good barcode is pointless of the game only matches me against people in my city.
