Dude this content is so good cause like I’m new to sf and watching him systematically go through moves I know how to do but don’t know where and then telling me where and why visually is so great

運び能力が高い割に火力はそこそこでコンボ選択も難しいから 倒し切って逆転するには戦術も要求される上限値が高いキャラになってる リュウはほぼその逆で初期から勝ちやすい仕様だからプロがケン選ぶのは道理

in tournaments he is always so stoic, but in his streams you can truly see how much he fucking loves fighting games

プロのこういうキャラを知りつつ、自身に合う試しを見るの好き

Seeing all the fun new things Ken can do makes me want to add him to my roster of characters for 6 =) Haven't seen him be this fun since maybe 3s or perhaps the Alpha series.

it would be cool if he could do all the the different faints with and without advancing, and all the keys form alpha and super turbo. but i guess they would be redundant. i hope sf6, with the premise of mucho more freedom, and extreme battles (i didnt have a blast in so long, they may be silly but they are fun AF) , can deliver something like omega mode sf4. like that the char, you customize it (ala mk 11) or here, your char all moves from all games, you figure it out. that would be bat sh1t crazy and super fun!

​@@MarcosDanteGellar Your statement is interesting to realize the role of the investment on gameplay features. Like you referenced MK... but the game that invented an alternate version of the same char was SSF2T from 94. It's was just a kind of secret, as you need to press a code and then that alternate version is selected... but the idea is there. And it only expanded from that, to classic Marvel, classic SNK games, etc. But it happens that both Capcom and SNK pretty much abandoned that idea. KOF 13 barely counts as it's only 3 alternate versions in the whole game and it's dlc not planned from the start of the game. Just like the late SF4 mode select feature and new Omega mode weren't long time plans. But then recently MK fully adopted the idea and invested on expanding it... and now it's seen like a "MK thing", as it's shown in your own words and everyone else's. Kinda like Capcom lost the credit for the idea. Capcom saw no value on it, abandoned it, then another company saw value on it and polished it, took it to the next level, and now it's seen as a "MK feature". Even a major distinct feature. I wish so badly that both SF and KOF brought alternate versions back. It adds nice gameplay variety in such an easy way. But now just because SF left the idea for so long and MK adopted it, if SF brings it back there will be many accusasions of wanting to "copy" MK.

I always felt like you can add something there too. Thanks for the confirm Daigo. 😎

This video is so hilarious, Daigo's reactions are amazing. I love his reaction to the crossup tatsu and the run tatsu into SA3 combo. It's also really funny to me that the whole world had access to this character with two closed betas and one open beta (not to mention the "unauthorized" access), Daigo picked this character and in a few hours quickly realized how good he is.

I haven't played SF since 2, way back on the SNES. But I always remembered all the characters, as playing it was a huge part of my childhood. Ken was always my favorite. I heard great things about 6 for newbies like me, so I picked it up on a whim. I am not disappointed. Both in the game, and just how much fun I'm having as Ken. Used his style in the story to get a hang of his moves, and have been tinkering with him in Arcade and the training grounds. Nervous about stepping into online play, but also excited.

You'll lose a lot but it's part of the process. Everyone gets their ass kicked in the beginning but you'll get better if you stick with it!!

今回のリュウの扱い、Vのシーズン５強化の時がめっちゃデジャブなんだよな……ｗ 「やっとたかしからリュウになった！」（→結局、相対的扱いはさほど変わらない）

It is kinda crazy that Ken could do meterless Drive into any SA with high dmg, at least 5000 with a bit more extra number into Level 3 SA or 5390 into CA without Counter hit. All you need to do is just do J. HP > S. HP/K > Quick Dash > HK > Any SA. All that Drive meter stays in the pocket

The run cancel mostly only works from punish counter c.hp or drive rush c.hp

@@josephjones5955 If Ryu can somehow choose between using denjin charge or just do regular FB, I think that will open up his options a lot. Right now with denjin charge, you have to choose between not having FB in neutral or having to spend d-gauge for damage.

​@@jaserror Right? If Capcom can change denjin charged hadouken like only comes out on Hp hadouken, then its different story (see how Capcom change to sf5 G's presidential level dependent move)

I was not sure if main guile or dee Jay, now i have to consider Ken as well cuz he looks cool AF!

That juggle in the corner looks so much easier than with other characters

i was always mained Ken. but had to switch to ryu this time because the demo and ken now has almost EVERYTHING he always had in the past, and i need to catch up on how to do his combos. he has some really good pressure tools upclose, not sure if 1st or 2nd in the game (SF6). and the power output is insane. people is just losing their minds with manon and marisa, and with just cause, but ken..man , any rookie with some basic combos can have easy and consistent pressure with above average damage or more. i know because... im using ryu and im a rookie!

I think in beginner and intermediate online play (bronze to gold), Ryu can still be the better pick at this level where the fundamentals of space control and reading/situational awareness are still being worked on. Beginning at the upper-intermediate level and above, and certainly at the pro level (Currently platinum+ as of week 1), Ken is clearly the much stronger pick as he has high output and high pressure tools for those who can apply them effectively. At this level, reads, whiff punishes, and frame traps are instinctual

@@munmunyeei agree. that's why i also pick ryu, because learning the game by playing online is fun, but if you start loosing too much, even with discipline and you know mentality to learn, it takes its toll. we are humans and we need a win once in a while. what i cannot do in combos or what i dont have in reflexes (i always struggle all my life with this stuff, there's a medical explanation but is not that serious) i have in pokes at mid distance. and ryu is good at that. i see luke is somewhat ryu 2.0 . similar tools with variations, but with more nuances. at least that my impression, not that im an expert. thanks for you feedback man!

@@munmunyee I think the problem I have with this is that Ken can do almost everything Ryu does (outside of fireball) but better and Ken has more tools than Ryu for pressure, combos, and even escape options. Their game plan is even very similar since Ryu has to corner or at least stay in stMK or crMK range for a win condition (his fireball without denjin charge isn't good enough for zoning unlike Guile, Deejay, or JP). Ryu definitely needs some changes to make him more unique instead of just "worse Ken but decent fireballs".

At 4:40 the context is that Ken’s line for OD-Tatsu is “you’re not getting away!” 😂

And as far as I understand, Ken only got buffed his 5HK is more safe now than before. Where's all those people saying Ken sucked in the betas? He's extremely good and very aggressive. He can rob you with one hit.

Wow!!! Once i saw the tatsu cancel in the air and Ken doing more dmg overall. He's definitely better than Ryu.

I love that ken is good, its nice to see the older characters get the love they deserve.... but im so tired of running into kens online haha

😂 this is the first time in years where I don’t come across a Ryu or Ken often. I see a wide variety of character use and I’m here for it! Love that people are venturing away from shotos and adding spice of life to the game. (I still love shotos)

Daigo here's saying all of this about Ken and here I am getting beaten out by most other characters since Ken's negative or loses trades on a lot of shit. That's honestly something this video doesn't really address, though-the fact that running into so many Ken players comes with the caveat of knowing exactly what he's gonna do this time around, and since SF6 made a bunch of characters either have safe specials, but unsafe normals and vice-versa (Or, if you're one of the lucky higher tiers), it becomes a nightmare trying to trade with folks or perform these notions. However, his punish game and corner-carry are indeed scary as hell once you get going, you just need to learn to watch out for D.I. spam unless you plan to hit LP a lot. Lol

It's Simple man, crapcom love Ken more than Ryu even though Ken is a successful rich dad and has a business in the story he fights as a hobby. Meanwhile you have Ryu traveling with a few set clothes on him, trying to master martial arts figting many opponents gaining experience to become the best fighter he can be. So we have Ryu being design as simple ez to use decent tools and you have to out effort dishing out good damage with him. Ken flexible good AMOUNT of tools, fast high damage combos, can put opponents into the corner while being on the corner and have better supers take your pick bud.

I mean you can DI or jump it and get a full punish. It's also slow. Don't get me wrong, it's still really good, but it has clear weaknesses.

It’s about time they made Ryu and Ken very strong. After all. It’s their game.

Ryu can switch sides for free if he combos into heavy tatsu at least, very good for making comebacks

Nah, maybe nerf his neutral skips and tone his damage down a bit. But having Ken as a meta character is healthy. JP and Guile need nerfs. Zoners have no buisness running the meta.

Except that he is slower in SF4, his walk speed is pathetic and couldn't shimmy or footsie as well as other characters until SF4 ultra where they finally gave Ken the same walk speed as Ryu that he went from low tier throughout the series to mid-high tier.

Not really: Street fighter, ken was a mere head sprite change. Street fighter II, Ken was the same, the only change was his throw. Super Street Fighter II, Ken have a different moveset, only then Ken DPs get faster.

Ken's dash in sf5 was always better than ryu's and there's always been an emphasis on speed by comparison to ryu's power

The Street Fighter classic: every time there’s a new game, a few characters just flat out have what others do, but theirs is a much better version.

Ken will be nerfed because Capcom will see this video. I see what you’re doing, Daigo.

I felt like Ken was limited in my time with him, not having an overhead normal that he can drive rush into like basically every other character makes his high/low mixup basically non existent

That’s where I feel like I’ve plateaued a bit. My mix up game lacks in neutral without a normal overhead that’s not cheeks. Maybe the more time I invest I’ll figure it out

今のところラッシュが速くて待ち切れないので、起き攻めに行ける、殺しきれるキャラの方が評価されてるっぽい

リュウは、攻撃が単純で続けて相手を追い込むには、手技が少なすぎる。 ケンは、技の威力は小さくでも攻撃が続くし、端に追い込む力がある。 今はリュウよりもケンの方が上。 リュウは、空中からの攻撃の反撃能力と空中からの攻撃を強化しないとクソキャラでおわる。 ま、ケンよりもルークが上だけど（笑）。

Ryu doesn’t have enough in the game. It’s pretty obvious now even Daigo sees it. I rest my case.

Awful game with modern controls for noobs without skills, terrible splatoon effects, ost, commentary, textures, story mode, facial expressions and horrible characters designs, all of them 🙃
