Crouch medium in neutral > drive rush > medium punch > heavy punch >light tatsu > medium dp if they parry the mk? Drive rush into grab 💀

@@XxGhostDOGxX420 The name implies it, you shimmy your opponent with a jab, they would think it’s a throw, or vice versa. It is more common in Mortal Kombat and can be very busted with some characters who can extend their arm like it’s a throw, so you would try to tech, thinking it’s a throw cause the jab resembles one, but you get combo’d instead, you got shimmied.

Hey rush I have been watching your videos ever since I started playing ken and it has helped a lot. Street fighter 6 was my first fighting game and i have been playing since the demo and I just got master rank with ken and I feel like you were like 75% of all the stuff I did so thanks for all the help.

8:06 omg thank you so much for this tip rush, I never bothered to find a useful follow up for the m jinrai with L kick follow up, but for some reason I keep using on matches and that leaves me wide open for counter attacks, now I can keep using it safely while also using a follow up when it does connect, this is gonna make a huge difference on my gameplay.

Huge thank you to you and content creators alike for all these consistent uploads. I’m only Diamond 2 but I wouldn’t be anywhere near my goal of masters were it not for all the information being shared day in and day out.

Great stuff, also recommend after corner carrying, do a neutral jump and it’s possible to punish the panic throw or super depending on the character, and it provides more optimal high damage combos.

Ken is a super deep character in SF6

Something really cool about the overhead reset is that if they are trying to perfect parry the follow up and it isn't held, you can get a punish counter for +7 or if they press a button and you space it correctly you can also get a punish

I've finally crawled up to diamond so this guide definitely helped. Now most of my combo misses are super cancels, instead of the entire combo. I got the run stop punch combo to work in a game a few times and it felt so satisfying. Now hit confirms and whiff punishes are my biggest things to improve on.

Fireball > run > be aware I can now DP through projectiles and punish. Got it :) Thanks man I have been trying to figure out how to use that projectile invincibility for SO LONG

I've been using it (to *some* success) against Guile just fucking raw when he does sonic blade and I read the boom follow up... Now adding *this* layer into the mix I think using both of them together would be very very useful

@10:15 The tatsu hitting weird can still be followed up to extend the combo, or a super. I'm not evena Ken main, but I've had it done to me a few times, making me think they dropped the combo. It can def be manually timed to hit this way too

This is true and I use this. However in this situation you can both put yourself in the corner and get no follow up. I have labbed a specific timing from Stand HK punish counter where you can do Drive Rush > Stand HP > run (delay) > Tatsu. Doing this the opponent crosses you up but goes into the corner allowing you to juggle and keep corner. It's really nice but hard to get consistent

Coming straight from SF2 Super Turbo, that whole “I don’t understand this game” is 100% relatable. I’m still trying to get used to the concept of dashing!

That's a huge leap, I came from SFV and this game shares many concepts. Even still I was so confused It takes time but we'll all get there at our own pace

6:27 What's the key to converting off that standing heavy punch into medium dragonlash? It keeps saying I only have 3 frames of hit advantage after the dragonlash, so I can't link a 4 frame crouching light punch. Thanks in advance for any insight, it's been driving me nuts for weeks

I didn't have the skill to single hit confirm once upon a time ago. With training anyone can learn to do these things 👊 Sounds corny but practice makes perfect, gotta believe you can do it

The trick is doing the entire motion as though you 100% know the overhead will hit. Only stop short of pressing the final punch to initiate your lvl 3.

I was the same with sf4 and 5. A lot of people who played 3rd strike used to say the same about sf4.

I agree, I am warming to 6 very slowly and I can already see the potential, hoping raw drive rush gets tweaked and maybe some slight changes to perfect parry / drive Reversal

@9:00 I use run DP a lot more, you get most of the corner carry, and way more damage than run tatsu. Worse OKI I guess.

A lot of videos are saying you can't get LK jinrai loop after mp hp target combo which is false.it's just the hardest to time out of all the loops but gives best combo ender when you have hit max damage reduction(8%) because at this point more hits do more damage than strong hits. Best used after his crouch combo loop.

My videos? Or other videos? It is a tricky route to land and I'm pretty sure I've never said it "can't be done", more a preference. I find in this game all combo routes have their place given the complexities of the game. That said some simplification is also good

10:10, delay the tatsu when u do the run animation so that you're not in the corner and the opponent is.

How do you get the purple fire ball flame ?

Do you have a cue for the timing between med jinrai into heavy for the corner? I'm really struggling to get it. I also struggle with the neutral jump combo for DI. Seems like the hit window for jump heavy kick is abysmally small.

Unfortunately everything is manually timed and the windows are small. You're right about neutral jump HK. You have to really delay it for it and it to hit. Too early and it whiffs You'll see even the best Ken's whiffing Jinrai combos in the corner. It's nuts

Good question, I haven't been playing too much but I've added in more step kick use out of Ken's run. It's really good for optimal combos and as a poke. Trying to confirm counter hit and punish counter combos also rather than using Drive Rush Cancel to extend combo and damage

The pad display is the old Hori Fighting Commander. That's no longer the pad I use, I use a Betop C3 controller

Bro the running overhead into level 3 is nearly impossible in practice mode let alone a real match

@@HalcyonEX my bad, what may help is buffering the super input just before the overhead hits. Then react to the hit by just pressing the punch button to active Super 3 Things like input delay on your setup can also affect these types of single hit confirms

Any attack that is in recovery grants you punish counter status. You'll get a visual notification on screen during the hit to say it's punish counter too

The real solution: You will never truly be better with Ken, only carried by him. Pick a different character.

6:25 i can't get cr.LP after medium dragonlash and it makes sense because after medium dragonlash you're +3 and cr.LP has a 4 frame start up so how tf do you do it??
