    No problem man, I'm finding that I am committed to the Stand HP after fireball in the corner situation, if they mash mash after blocking the fireball the HP frame traps them and it's possible just to confirm off the stand HP. I need to practice this but it's a really powerful setup

    If you're gold, this is way too advanced and unnecessary for you. It's like you're learning how to optimize your 100m dash times for the Olympics when instead you should be working on how to run in the first place. You can get to Master without learning this stuff. And you should be trying to learn how to do that.

  • @RushG

    I understand and somewhat agree. This is just a concept video of what is possible. It really depends on the situation, there is a threat of being thrown after the forward throw but this involves a walk up into meaty throw I feel there is an element of commitment from the defender post throw rather than react to a given situation. The fact it covers so many defensive options makes it strong. Perfect parry I feel would be an impressive counter play as they need to perfect parry both hits of the fireball dont they? It almost feels like the timing to do they would need to be a hard read based on assuming the OD fireball is coming?

    I dont need to parry both hits of the fireball. I can perfect parry the first hit with wakeup parry and normal parry the second, youre still plus 7 but you dont get anything at that distance other than a stand fierce. All im reacting to is you doing anything other than walking up and throw, and just pressing parry on wake up, which covers dash up jab and meaty stand fierce as well. Also your entire video did not include wake up exdp? how is this any different from me full charging a whirlwind shot after eagle spike on rashid other than faster? @@RushG

    OD DP / wake up Super 3 isn't covered as it's an obvious situation where this tech loses Doing wake up parry will lose to me doing forward dash into throw I feel you're being too literal regarding this tech. It's a proof of concept not a "all Ken's must start doing this" Consider when you're in burnout and you only have a super available that lacks projectile inv frames, the threat of super can be diminished using this setup as an example, you also can't jump or backdash the meaty fireball. When you take into account the layers and mental stack, it becomes difficult to do what on paper feels viable

    The +13 is great and all but I think the +7 on block is more important. What does Ken get from it?

  • @RushG

    @RushG

    3 ай бұрын

    The plus 7 oB is more important in the corner, if you commit to a follow up Stand HP which ideally we should do, it frame traps from the plus 7 and is fully hit confirmable

    I'd probably not be too worried tbh, whilst I've spent 2 bars, them spending 2 bars isn't too bad of a trade off I wonder if there's some sort of OS there that covers then doing the Drive Reversal in this situation. I'll test

  • @skychaos87
    @skychaos873 ай бұрын

    This is kinda useless, its a meaty setup and that means so long you delay jab or tech throw you will never get hit by this setup. Also, after the throw distance nerf, there is no need for anyone to press any button unless they see Ken walking forward. You literally see the yellow OD flash before you even wakeup, its very much reactable. It won't work on high level games, except only if the opponent is holding up to jump on wakeup.
