    No matter what anyone says, I think Hikaru is great. He managed to adapt quickly. Compared to the previous set, the difference is huge and it makes me happy. Only in battle with strong opponents is your true potential revealed! I hope Hikaru learns a lot of lessons from these fights before Punk leaves Japan 👍

    Pretty smart correction by hikaru at 9:30 he knew he miscalculated how much damage a level 3 would do here and decided against it to save meter to protect himself in burnout. I know people have their issues with the drive system in this games but its small situations like this that i think make it a really cool mechanic

    Just finished watching. It's DEFINITELY better than the last set of 0-5. You can see how much he's starting to read Punk and it's amazingly fast how he picked it up. It took Hikaru about 3 or 4 sets to finally win vs. Angrybird, he can definitely win next time!

    The way Hikaru adapted from his previous matchup with Punk is INSANE! It's like seeing him deal with Daigo all over again. However, recently, I notice him using random buttons which opened up his defense. Nonetheless, this is a crazy development.

    And also if you see a player aiming to perfect parry you a lot what are you gonna do? Just lose rounds to perfect parry? No, you're gonna throw them. Hikaru os great offensively but he tends to either wake up backdash or perfect parry on wakeup a whole lot. Granted Aki doesn't have a DP, he makes his defensive options predictable at times. He lose and entire round dying to a meaties because he woke up backdashed 3 times in a row.

    They should have made her OD slide invul to throws and highs and also made her OD cruel fate as a reversal as well invul to throws and lows and allow her the choice to switch sides after she sits on the opponent’s shoulders and stabs them.

    This is the difference between a top tier and mid tier character combined with a bad matchup. One of AKI’s main tools (fireball > drive rush) is disabled against Cammy and AKI’s defensive options especially in the corner are next to nothing. Despite this Hikaru played amazing and gave a great game with all the odds against him. I just wish he utilised fireball > OD slide, more when he was in the corner being piled on, or when he was coming back closer to the corner (to avoid being eventually piled on in the corner). In fact it may have been a good bait when moving back near the corner to purposely throw out fireballs in order to bait Cammy to do spinning knuckle/jump in>dive kick, and then AKI do OD slide instantly. Would allow AKI to move away from the corner if Cammy bites the bait and if she doesn’t bite then it would be keeping her at bay.

    @@thomasromano9239 thats not true. It wont make much of a difference and would be more based on player skill if it’s top tier character against top tier character. However there is a difference when it comes to top tier character against lower tier characters. The lower tier player has to work much harder than the top tier player for the same or less results. These amazing lower tier players are the exception and not the rule and if these same players picked up a top tier and played them with the same effort and passion they have for their lower tier character they probably would be doing a bit better or at the very least be able to play a bit more brain dead and get results with less effort. These top players who play lower tier characters, play them because they like the character and their design and like a challenge. They think the top tier characters are boring and brain dead. However for the average player most don’t want to work harder for the same or less results.

    @@jayro792 The so called "low tier" characters have advantages that can be employed... the reason most people don't realize this is because everyone tries to mimic the pros. They look at the characters and playstyle of the pros... then when they are using other characters they use the same style of the pros which wouldn't work for that character. A good example is Sonicfox... when he was playing SF6 I remember him saying that Kimberly didn't have much reach with her normals and he stopped playing that character. However, Kimberly has a variety of ways to get in close to her opponent... she doesn't need to have "reach".

    @thomasromano9239 completely untrue. Some characters are fundamentally better than others, as well as their being advantageous and disadvantageous match-ups. Cammy has absolutely everything you need to compete at the highest level in sf6, whereas aki has several handicaps in her character design that make the struggle very real. This is compounded by the fact that Cammy is among her very worst match-ups.

  • @diogobocalon2159
    @diogobocalon215929 күн бұрын

    AKI needs some sort of buff that helps her fight rush down game plans, specially against Cammy whose tools basically prevent her from using her fireball. An OD reversal or invulnerability in the first frames of her OD slide should do the trick.

  • @argus5597

    First frame of OD slide is already invulnerable it's just that it can be grabbed out of and the recovery is shit when the opponent walks back and is directly up in your face while Aki still getting up from the ground.

  • @diogobocalon2159

    @diogobocalon2159

    That’s what I meant, an OD slide which can’t get grabbed so the opponent would be at least hesitant between going for the meaty or walking back to punish the slide.
