Warren has probably no idea how much he's missed and how influential his playing is to this day.

I just loved this guy. He stood out from most of the guitarists back then & he looked the part without making a fool out of himself.

Hail to shredmaster WDM. As a kid playing guitar i worshipped king Edward, but I analyzed Every solo from Out of the Cellar and simply became a convert. Such a killer sound and style. 🤘
Hopefully, Warren Will Do Something Soon! The Fans Have Been Waiting!! 🙏🎸⭐️
Ratt invasion of your privacy is a timeless masterpiece...on that record Warren really shone.

First time I saw Warren rip out the solos, I was completely blown away. Ratt opened for Ozzy is San Diego (likely the Bark at the Moon tour). We hadn't heard of Ratt before. The next day my friends and I hit the record store and bought Out of the Cellar. It was such a great time. The music was SO great.

Wow 😮 Warren & Jake E. Lee on the same night 🔥
My schoolmates and I listened to Ratt on cassette tapes and vinyl incessantly in the 80s. We positively worshipped Warren's playing. Watching you play 40 years later, I see what it was that made your playing so special, though I don't know if I have the words to describe it. It's got tons of top end, but also a "wideness" or physical substance with a nice decay. And what a cool story about Seymour Duncan. I think there are a lot of stories like this, where Seymour gives an artist his full attention and creates an amazing custom pickup. Seymour Duncan is the Rembrandt of pickups and you are an 80s rock icon. Your playing is an important part of the soundtrack of my life.

Was blessed to see Warren play a few times back in the day. Always a inspiration. Great to see you again.
Great to hear you WDM...always liked your lixx...you and Lee and Lynch were my trifecta for So Cal hard rock!
So happy to see him still relevant, great guitar player!
I met him after a show about 20 some odd years ago. He came off stage and then hung out at the bar for an hour or so. We talked for a few minutes. I remember him being really down to earth and a nice guy. He's such a tremendous guitar player and song writer.
There may be lack of communication but never lack of tone..... One of my favorite guitar players
It's great to hear Warren has worked with you guys to create such a hot guitar pickup. That tone is one of the best for metal and hard rock ever.
I used to go to Guitar Trader all of the time back in the 80's. I saw young Warren there. As well, saw Rough Cutt do a small gig there with Amir Derakh on his Charvel purple star guitar. It was the hot spot guitar shop in San Diego. It's gone now but I have a lot of cool memories of that place. I was told Robbin Crosby worked there for a while after Ratt.

Great guitarist who knows his craft
I have the RTM in my HSS partscaster build and I love it. RTM/little JB/little 59. The RTM is an awesome pickup, it is truly great at everything. Imagine a more refined JB, didn't think that was possible.

I shunned the Alnico 2 magnet for years assuming it was too weak for metal... I've used the JB since the 80's and was an Alnico 5 purist. But my new SBS MS260 guitar came with Alnico 2 Custom Custom copies... and I loved them. (Check out the 40 second snippet of them on my page). Can't wait to try an RTM.
One of my favourite riff monsters!
So, something is in the works, and that is good to hear.
Love Warrens Playing and Tone. I have this pickup in my Charvel Warren Di Martini and it sounds amazing. I even love the quarter pound in the neck Thanks for sharing.
I love the JB and the RTM pick ups too.🥰🤘 I'm happy to see Warren DeMartini playing guitar, he's tone is always awesome.
Warren is awesome, love his playing and style. Would love some solo work from him. I’ll be making a build in the new year, think the RTM will be a good fit.
I can't believe they made him face the sun during the interview. Ratt was so huge to me back in gigh school. One of the 80's top bands in my book.
Warren is..next to Eddie Van Halen (R.I.P. King Edward) and George Lynch..Eddie is my #1 and George is my #2 but MAYBE Warren and George are tied really close in my mind. I LOVE Warren's playing and have since I first heard Ratt in '84. His tone, his whole everything, love the guy. Let's give a R.I.P. to his former guitar partner in crime, Robbin 'King' Crosby who could also play. And I LOVE Seymour Duncan pickups, great stuff.
Warren is an amazing guitarist. He always seemed like the guy who was the passive one in the group and let his guitar do the talking, not his ego like many have

Underrated by whom? He's not underrated at all. He's a legend.
What an awesome player with such a unique attack on the fretboard.
That looks and sounds amazing. Warren's playing is so underrated 👌👌
Warren said it was a new pickup... but is this different than the RTM that has been in his signature Charvels for years? I read somewhere that they basically took a JB and replaced the Alnico 5 mags with Alnico 2 mags (someone claims to have heard that from MJ), but I'm sure there is more to it (e.g., the windings). Whatever they did, I absolutely love mine. I've had his Charvel USA Signature Snake guitar for several years, and it's just a smokin' axe.

This RTM has the same specs as the one in the Charvel, but it's not made in the Custom Shop or signed. Those are the only differences. Hope that helps!
I actually met Ratt at a Peaches Record store in Palm Harbor Florida in 1991. I told Warren he was the best and shook his hand. Robbin gave me a dirty look when it came turn to get his autograph. Sorry Robin [RIP] , I meant no disrespect.
Brett Warnelis here. I'm the 55 y.o. bassist in Florida who wanted to form a new blues rock band with Warren. Talked to Beau Hill (Ratt producer) 10 years ago. Could never get in touch w Warren. Wasted Opportunity him not opening up & doing something. Yes Lay It Down the best riff ever I agree. His solo outro on Wanted Man is just mind blowing
So happy to see a new video with Warren! 😊 Man, that dude just oozes cool 👍
One of my guitar heroes. Love his tone and artistry. He’s an amazing player.
You have always been a big inspiration to me. Can’t wait to get your guitars!

Love to ratt n roll! Love Warren! God bless. Jesus saves!
SOLD. Love Warren and love the hot bright sound for my style of playing. Putting in a Fender American Pro modded HH Strat
Kept waiting for a Ratt riff... still waiting .... But man he looks great!!!!
I love the sound too, also on Way Cool Junior.
I was blessed enough to get a photo of myself with the original Samurai Charvel and Warren on the 2007 Tour with Poison....Such a humble cool 😎 dude

Man this is exciting to see! I love Warren's tone and play-style, one of the best ever, great to see him talking about this approach/jamming a bit as well as some new material coming up...very awesome! Rock on man, keep playing 🤘
Yeah, it's a great pickup. Absolutely stellar for Rock, Hard Rock, and even metal
Great to see you again, Warren! 😁👍🏼
My absolute fav tone has always been Warren's. I'm sure I'm not alone on that one.
I actually shook WDM's hand at an autograph signing, at a Peaches in 1991. I told him he was the best, he just smiled, and chucked a little. He had sunglasses on. Robin gave me a dirty look. Sorry Robbin, I meant no disrespect, RIP.
I've seen him in concert with Ratt many times going back to the 80s. Always great with a terrific tone that really cuts through the mix. Not only one of the better players from the classic metal era, but one of the best rock guitarists in the world today. He's got style for miles.
Love it! Ive played NOTHING but jb seymours for everything, stacked singles, humbuckers ! Lots of gigs , would be interested in these but still a jb fan . Peace

Very cool video. Would love to see more videos of Warren or a new band! Such an organic player.
Warren is the reason I started playing guitar!
Its a great pickup.Im a Emg guy and this keeps up.
Way Cool Warren!!!👌 😃🤙 ❤🔥🎸🎶Thank you!
Wow! Sounds amazing!
I worked at Guitar Trader, it's a shame they sold the company. seriously was the best shop in san diego by far
Warren Rules, thats for sure! When I was in High School back in the 1980s, I saw Warren and George Lynch using Duncans for pups... I said "That's the pickup for me!" So, I dropped a Seymour Duncan Distortion humbucker in my guitar, and I was set! Such great tone!
Absolute classic. I wish he would get out and play with somebody.
A seriously great guitarist.
Warren D continues to inspire ❤
Great guitar player and .fellow Italian can't go wrong with that.
Love your playing love your tone Saw you play many many times
He mentions the Seymour Duncan JB pickup. To me, it's the best pickup made and has no equal. I don't care if you're into Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz, Dethcore, classic rock or any other genre, you can always find your voice with that pickup. Some clever wiring options can scramble that up even more. A coil split circuit that will drop one row of magnets, in-phase/out of phase switching, in/out of parallel, combining it with another pickup...endless tones and sounds that are studio quality. Sure, I own many other pickups, but if I want a known starting point, the JB is it. And when trying out other pickups, the JB is the gold standard to which I compare to
Sounds killer ❤
Just got one a little while ago. killer pickup.
Wow.! What a thick sound! 😯
Warren de mis guitarristas preferidos, un genio, infravalorado como John Sykes y Jake e Lee.
A smashing guitar player. Gorgeous phrasing.Tonally and stylistically my fave alongside George.
Not a Duncan guy but the JB is definitely "The Horizon". I compare everything to it as a baseline, even tho I don't ever use these pickups. Cannot deny its place among the pickup pantheon.
I want that guitar! ❤
Behold the coooolest Guitar Player of the 80's ! Amen
The JB is still one of my fav's to this day. I'd like to get my hands on one of the new Charvels with Warren's pups. Love that tone 🤘
Anyone notice that he is using a narrower nut on that neck? String spacing on both E strings are well inside the edge of the neck. Pretty cool idea!
I used to hang out at Guitar Trader too. Met Robin Crosby there.
I have a seymour duncan distortion in the neck position of my Guild Warrior. I like it. I have a Bill Lawrence L-500XL in the bridge position. I like the warmer tone and sustain from it. Been using that pickup since '85. I think the guy from Pantera used one as well.
Criminally underrated
One of my favorite metal guitarists, he's clearly still got it. Hey Warren, how about getting back with the band for one more studio LP? Even if you guys don't want to tour anymore I'd love to hear some new RATT. Peace.
Its been like decades since i saw this guy update
my first listening to Demartini is the intro to the Detonator mc tape back in the early 90s! his tone is soo darn nice!
I put a Roughcast Alnico II in my JB-J from a old USA Kramer Baretta years ago and never looked back. That p'u always reminded me of the tone i heard Warren get on "The Rock Palace" show i had on VHS tape. Real liquid like on singles notes with tons of sustain and drive. Curious to how this RTM would sound compared?
That pup sounds amazing, he's on the path to EVH 2.0
Your millage may vary, but for me - and I grew up in the 1980s and saw all these guys play about 2 yards away from me in smaaaaaaall Hollywood, Santa Monica & "Beach-area" clubs! - the great "triumvirate" of 1980s guitar metal were (and Eddie van Halen is in a category ALL his own, among the great innovators and simply untouchable!): Jake E. Lee (F--K Ozzy & his entire ANCESTRY for letting this genius go!), George Lynch (you had to see this magician play live to understand just how magical he really was!) and Warren de Martini! Warren LITERALLY influenced ALL of his contemporaries and EVERYONE WHO CAME AFTER HIM! A soft-spoken genius of the "Mystical Frets and Strings" and the most decent human being you could ever hope to meet. While having him sign my copy of Out of the Cellar, I asked him, "C'mon, Warren, how the F do you do what you do???" His answer, although not unexpected, shocked me... then! "PRACTICE, my boy, lots & lots of PRACTICE." 'Nuff said!
Fuckin legend! Criminaly underated!
