sick! The Pegasus/Sentient set is my fave 'all-around/versatile' set of pickups. They sound really good and can do most styles with ease; not to mention, they sound good in any tuning--I have a 7-string set and a 6-string set.

Is there a sweet spot with pickup height with the Pegasus 7? Too high and it’s mush, too low and it’s overly weak. I’m still trying but it’s one of the pickiest pickups I’ve ever seen.

@@ConspireToConspire I find the Pegasus (and Sentient too to a lesser extent) to be very picky with regard to pickup height, yes. Once you find a good overall height for the pickup I like to adjust pole piece height from there to fine-tune everything. The 6-string version isn't as picky I find, but the 7-string version is quite picky. I find (with string depressed at last fret) that a good starting point is roughly 2mm on the bass end and 1.5mm on the treble end is optimal height for myself--from there I will fine-tune the pole pieces.

To be honest, I haven't been trixing that much with them. I just have the standard recomendation hight wich I think is 2,3 - 2,5mm on the bass side and 2mm on the treble side.

sd pegasus or dimarzio illiminators?

OblivAeon Gunny Both are very good but I choose Pegasus/Sentient.
