Seymour Duncan P-Rails! The most versatile pickup ever?

Музыка

Hey all,
Time to thoroughly test out these Seymour Duncan P-Rails pickups and the Triple Shot mounting rings that allow you to access all the tones. I think these might be THE most versatile pickups you can put in your axe, and they sound great!
Gear used:

Common question: Do you have to flip the wiring when you flip the neck pickup? Answer: No, the physical orientation does not affect the phase/polarity electrically, so no wiring changes need to be made.

Hey Lucas. Ordering these today. Thanks for the demo. Really sold me. Obviously wiring wasn't an issue. Any issue by reversing the neck with install? (Ie, screws...fire.....side the wires are on the pickup). I wanna be sure to provide my local luthier all the needed info. Cheers

They certainly do! Great tone, great playing. This is one of the videos that convinced me to buy the P-rails for a new custom build. Very excited. I'm glad you demonstrated the inverted neck pickup sound on the rail single coil. I love the SRV sound you get out of it. Does this compromise the P-90 sound on the neck at all?

I do not use my tone knobs ever (on none of my 3 guitars), so I could install a 3 Way Switch instead of the tone poentiometers for every pickup (I really hate the idea of the frame switches. I play live a lot and it just screams "BREEAAAAAAAKING IN THE WORST MOMENT!!!!!!!!!" for me). I play a Helix (LT) as well so I could do lots of stuff with the different pickup settings on the guitar in conjunction with my presets. God damn, now I am really teased and curious... Gnahhhh I am going to do it any ways. I know it. Ask me in 10 months, and my Les Paul will sound like a wobbly down tuned Tele with bad strings ^^

Very good contribution. I actually wanted to buy the Phat Cat and was looking for good demos. But now I'm probably buying the P-Rails :-) That's exactly what I was looking for.
