A friend of mine sent me this as a Birthday present cos he knows how much I love the Sex Pistols (especially Steve) After some of the replies I asked him about it... "Originally recorded at the same time as Silly Thing for the Great Rock n Roll Swindle, when they re-recorded Silly Thing with Steve on Vocals for the single release they also re-recorded this (Much better vocal take) Previously only available on vinyl on the Japanese Best of (1979) then on 7" as a pack of singles with Black leather (1980) The first version is the common one found on the CD "We have cum for your children".This version has been remastered from vinyl, Ps stick your headphones on!" Ps here is the common version. kzread.info/dash/bejne/d4iXuqWgg5qeaLA.html

Do you know if it's Andy Allen on bass as on the single "silly thing" ? The version of silly thing of the great r'n'r swindle is with Steve on bass and Paul on vocals (recorded in march 1978, I think). I know they recorded the first version of here we go again as a demo at the same studio session. The version of here we go again that you post here sounds very, very good (with a little reverb on Steve voice).

@@Houl23 Yes this is the re-done version around the time of Silly Thing with Steve on vocals, was first released in 1979 on the Japanese best of Album, later released on the Pistols singles pack. My friend Jim remixed this as to this day it's never been released on CD only Vinyl.

At least, Steve Jones is one of the best Rock guitarists. The best ones( and my favourite) are : Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, David Gilmore, Pete Townshend, and Mark Knopfler. PS. And, yes, you are right, mate. Steve Jones is VERY good, really.🤝👍👍 All of them are British. Or, it's better to say, they are GREAT British. 👍👍

S Jones is one of the best guitar players ever.it s so accurate doing palm mutes-short fasts solos-power chord always with a semi tone slide or open the 6 or 5 chord to open position-slides from the higher frets very fasts to reach the note or power chord, plus a sound tha t it s the best i ve ever heard.for me the reunion of the 1996 is the best guitar sound ever.

Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock are my ultimate musical heroes. I started to get into the Sex Pistols when I was around 12-13 ish (although I have known them my whole life due to my parents) and it was in lockdown where my whole life became orientated around the Sex Pistols. I'm 16 now, I've met Paul Cook twice and overall seen him live 3 times (with the Professionals) as well as seeing Glen Matlock live with Blondie.....This summer I'm going to see Blondie and Generation Sex, I'm so indescribably excited. I will get to see my three heroes all in one night WTF as well as Iggy Pop and the Buzzcocks. I genuinely can't contain my excitement, it's a literal dream come true (not to sound like a cringe bastard lol)

If this was recorded march 1978 it was straight after Jonsey retuned from Brazil. So soon after the split with Rotten. Makes you think what the second Pistols album would have sounded like.? They weren't destined to last. I think for Rotten it turned out better for him teaming up with Levene & Wobble and forming PIL and dumping rock'n roll. 13 months after Bollocks was released PIL made the groundbreaking 'First Issue album. And then a year later Metal Box. Therefore I'm glad the Pistols split up. Tho I also love Jonsey.

The Sex Pistols were ; FOUR People! John, Steve, Paul, Glen ! Sid was a 'Stooge' who was added later (God Bless him, the lad should have had a much better life than he did, and should have lived long enough to have a career and life! RIP) They produced an amazing debut LP and apparently had enough material to make a second, but , sadly it was not to be! I am a massive fan of all the band , but I ALWAYS thought that John was jealous of Joe Strummer and The Clash, especially after THEY DID, produce an 'amazing' second LP! dx

If ya'r a massive fun of the band n i'm agree when ya'r saying there was such amount of ideas plus materials to make a second one. But lemme explain to ya that, the multiple "reasons" were the causes from em to split up. Especially when John realised to been cheated. The "Joe" mentioned was irrelevant. As at that time there wasn't any choices from bands to made their own mind as the PRESS were playing the best/worse role. The both bands come out from different backround. The Sex Pistols were coming from "poor class" n all of em have had criminal records. The second one were coming from Royal family or upper class n education. I'm not deny their pure anger 2wards the corrupted system here to made both the biggest impact on earth in Punk History.
