Sewing with Debbie Shore - a simple cross body bag
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This simple little bag makes a handy pouch when walking the dog, to wear under a jacket to keep valuables safe when travelling, or is a perfect size for a child! You can adjust the measurement of the strap if needed, and add an inside pocket if you like.
I’ve used Pale Blue Washed Denim and Misty Blue for the lining, interfaced with H630.
Use 1/4" [6mm] seam allowance
Materials:
8” x 17” [20cm x 43xm] outer fabric
8” x 17” [20cm x 43cm] lining fabric
8” x 17” [10cm x 43cm] fusible fleece [H630]
6” x 6” [15cm x 15cm] outer fabric for the flap
6” x 6” [15cm x 15cm] lining fabric for the flap lining
6” x 6” [15cm x 15cm] fusible fleece
8” x 3” [20cm x 8cm] lining fabric for the tab
44” x 4” [112cm x 10cm] lining fabric for the strap.
Fuse fleece to the wrong sides of the outer pieces.

6/5/23: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this bag, and I especially love the fact that it can be adjusted to size the way I want, in addition to, placing a magnet, if I want one. Thanks again, Debbie, for another wonderful project. You never disappoint. I can't wait to make one for my sister and a smaller version for my granddaughter. I know they'll love it too!
I can’t tell you how much I love your tutorials. I had taken a book of yours out from my library and was thrilled to find you on here! I’ve learned so much from you. 💗

Hi, what are the measurements of the final bag?
Thenks for aging gives for megerment
man I put an entire day of effort but I have to throw it away it looks awful! but maybe for the next time I learnt a lot, my main issue is sewing stretchy fabric and CUTTING MY FABRIC straight or the proper size. I keep making mistakes when cutting fabric :|

You need to use non stretch fabric for this bag, or add interfacing to stretch fabric to stabilise it before cutting x
