If I were to describe a "sewing room heaven" - this would be it! I am overwhelmed by all the clever features you built into it. I need to build a room for sewing , embroidery and crafts with a much smaller space. This gives me ideas and inspiration. Thanks for sharing!

Oh, Laura, your space brings back such good memories for me. Not only have I been a seamstress most of my life but my mom as well. She had a wonderful house setup with 4 other ladies to do various types of sewing. All the different stations you have set up brings to mind all the rooms of that house and the ladies who worked with fabric of all types and people of various needs. Thanks for sharing your wonderful open area that I know you truly enjoy. Bless you.

I really enjoy all of your videos, this one is no exception. I see you have dress forms, so I assume you make garments. I have watched your caftan video. Could you please make some more videos on garment sewing as I am not a quilter but sew totes, bags, pillows etc. I made a teepee for my granddaughter after watching your one. I love your sewing space. Thanks so much!

I have truly enjoyed the tour of your room. It's very lovely. A wonderful comfortable place to work or just enjoy being you. If that makes sense? Sorry sometimes my words dont come out like my heart or head wants them to.🙃

The best sewing room I have seen. Love that you used other items and not sewing room furniture. Very creative. Got lots of ideas too. I would love to have a sewing room like that.

Thank you for sharing your tour. Your sewing room inspired both me and my long suffering husband. I stumbled on this just as we had finished redecorating and re-designing my shabby old sewing room my hubby adapted a couple of tables to give me a flatbed that I can put either of my machines into. I have fibromyalgia and it causes me a lot of pain if I’m not comfortable when I’m sewing so my life has been made so much easier thanks to you and your amazing ideas.

Hi Laura, love your studio tour. We are in the process of converting our downstairs room into my sewing room. I will have less than half your room size, but I got some good ideas by watching this. Thank you. I plan on going to Ikea soon to look at tables, storage, and bookcases. I will still have to store some of my fabric in bins but that can’t be avoided, unless I stop buying fabric! Is the area of your sewing machine sturdy enough where the table doesn’t shake when going at a higher speed? My machine is on a folding plastic table now, and when sewing at a higher speed, the table shakes so much that the smaller things actually fall off. The use of the plastic piping to raise the table top even with your machine is especially brilliant! Thanks so much. Love all your videos and have learned a lot.

Hi Laura, I was wondering what are the dimensions of your lovely sewing studio? Also since I know that you are crafty did you do the painting on the dresser or was that your daughter? Thanks for the tour.

What an amazing and lovely sewing room you have. I felt very much at home when you were walking around and showing us all your wares. It is so nice to see how you have a place for everything but not so sterile-looking as a lot of sewers have today. I loved seeing all the pieces that make you happy. I have only just been able to have a little room for a sewing room, as now I'm an empty nester, but have to utilize the space well and of course to store much more in it too. As I only buy small amounts of fabric at a time, no doubt I will have a few metres leftover in a few years to come, so I think I need to think quick on how to set my room up as quickly and efficiently as much as I can

Thank you for sharing your lovely studio with us. I purchased a new sewing machine cabinet, roll around drawer unit, and large storage unit today for my studio. It’s being delivered tomorrow, so I’m Googling organizational ideas like crazy. You’ve given me several ideas to incorporate into my room. I especially love your pressing surface- Holy cats, Batman, the ability to pull it toward you so you can sit and press is a game changer!
