Thank you soooo much for this tutorial. I have alot of knitted squares for a blanket. I didn’t want a bumpy seam. Mattress stitch wouldn’t be smooth. The whop stitch is just what the knitty angel gave me. Merci beaucoup pour vous talents et d’être un bon professeur.

Thank you. I have never read/heard about pinning knitting to see seams, and I think this will radically alter (for the better!) my finishing. I also appreciate the helpful links to notions. Brilliant - you are such a thoughtful creator.

I’ve been working on a mitered square blanket. I pick up sometimes and sometimes I make a square and attach it. I think this tutorial will help with attaching. So far my seams have been wonky. ❤️

I love watching tutorials. Yours are definitely classed in the upper echelon IMHO of tutorial viewing! Thank you kindly. A very necessary skill presented in such a lovely, calm, teaching atmosphere. I may revert to knitting my next sweater in pieces as opposed to in the round... Maybe 😉💕

Just a follow up to my original post. I decided to make a cabled sweater in pieces as opposed to in the round. So far so good! Thank you for the inspiration! I'm loving your Paris pictures. I hope your move brought/brings you peace and happiness. ❤️

Thank you for these clear instructions. I the past I usually did a mangled combination of these two stitches which is why I prefer to knit in the round.

Am I tripping? In the two ways of doing the whip stitch, one in two motions and one in one motion, aren't you doing two different things in the video? Going external strand-internal strand in the first two motion technique and internal strand-internal strand in the second one motion technique? internal means that is closer to the wrong side, external means that is closer to the right side. Or are you even taking a strand in the second one? It may even seem that you are taking a knit-stitch! HELP! Or is it not a different way of doing in one motion but it was a different way to begin with?
