I’m so glad I came across this tutorial. I have attempted FPP many times and have come away swearing never to do it again. After watching this and the beginner’s tutorial, I now have an organized way of approaching FPP. I can’t wait to try it again. And to top it off, I am dusting off one of your books that I purchased back in 1998. Shame on me for not doing it sooner. 😏
That is a great book and thank you for showing how to put it together. Very interesting. Can’t. Wait to get the book.
Your paper IS the BEST!

And you my friend are my new best friend. Delighted you love the Carol Doak Foundation Paper as much as I do.
I have been making your blocks from your free bonus FPP block from Facebook, read all your instructions but I have still picked up more tricks of the trade from your Wonderfull You Tube video. Thank you so much for your generosity. I am still waiting for your lovely book and can't wait until it arrives.

Thank you so much, Carol. I always follow you because you are an excellent teacher. Adhearing to your instructions always produces results that are perfect and I am proud of my finished projects. I am currently in a class at my local quilt shop, Abbi Mays Fafric Shop in North Muskegon, Michigan and we are using your book,-" 60 Fabulous paper-Pieced Stars", I feel very comfortable in the class because of your videos. Thank you again. Blessings, Joann

I am excited for you!
Thank you for a very detailed explanation for the process of foundation paper piecing. I have never seen such a clear and exact tutorial. I have never tried a FPP block, but I am now ready to give it a go.

Great! I look forward to seeing your beautiful stars.
What a great lesson. Several times I rolled my eyes at myself for not having figured out the best practices, like use the light on your machine to check fabric placement (instead of holding it up to the ambient light in the room, shifting about to find the brightest spot). I guess that's why you are a book writer and I am just following directions. 😂😂. Thank you so much for sharing your talent and experience!❤

I ordered your book.. I'm anxious to try your method as in the past my center point always had a lot of bulk and does not lay flat
This tutorial is brilliant. FPP is always daunting to my brain, but I feel I can give it a go now!

Yeah!!! Delighted you have confidence to give it a go.
Thanks for the demonstration. I plan to start making stars in the next couple of weeks. I am a visual learner, and this demonstration makes the book's explanation a little clearer.
Great tutorial with awesome tips, beautiful fabric and block. Can’t wait to try a block

I'm so glad I found you on Facebook! I love this tutorial. Can't wait to get started. Thank you so much. I am also waiting to get two of your books I ordered.
I’ve got a lot of your books. Haven’t pp’d in a while, you inspired me to do it. Thanks.
A wonderful tutorial with great tips.
I took a class from you years ago and this video is a great refresher! I would like to know what kind of scissors you are using in this video. I like the pink grippy part. They look much easier to pick up and use.

Thank you for this video. What do you think about using freezer paper? I was using freezer paper before.

I am not a fan of the freezer paper way of doing paper piecing, because you need to fold, accurately, sew accurately and the freezer paper does not stabilize the points when you join units. A paper foundation only requires you sew on a line and stabilizes all your seams and points.

Some people like the freezer paper way of piecing, but I find I don't get as accurate that way. I much prefer sewing on paper so I'm more accurate.
