I'm having a really hard time trying to determine a better lyricist then Sevin. This dude is ridiculous with it, for real. So much truth in his skill set, it's crazy. And for those of you trying to rebuke him or throw shade, do your research and you'll find out that he is one of very few christian rappers or rappers who are christians that actually walks the walk, not just talks about walking the walk. I had the privilege of ministering along side him at a juvenile detention center in albuquerque an dude is the real deal. He really is all about the Gospel of Jesus.

We all sit here criticizing SEVIN for doing what he does, but none of us have the guts to even share the gospel with our neighbors. Why is it that those who do nothing for the gospel are those who criticize people who make themselves available for christ? Sevin's scars are his scars and if he does not look polished like your prosperity preachers, pray for him. Insults only show how immature we all are. Sevin might have his mistakes showing on him, but we all have worst hidden inside. I bet if God could make our the sins of those writing negative comments here, the U S will need a miracle to clean the filth from the streets. People, Just stop. @Bonabellfimls Yo you couldnt be more correct on this. I have been really smh at this lately. Especially because I see how much Sevin has matured in his walk and all his ackomplishments. He has more courage than plenty of ppl I know. The ppl complaining probly ain't really gettin nobodies attention on the low n are sittin stagnant in their talents and purpose. That's not what God wants from us. He wants us to be an open book accordingly. I'm not sayin tell ALL your business (for anyone even CHRISTIANS to use it against us) I'm just sayin what he reveals is necessary to show we are not perfect. It is humbling and will win souls if the individual who walks this way (like Sevin) can be strong enough to not sway back and forth every time somebody starts poppin off about it. I notice for yrs Sevin has been able to walk with blinders on. I hope he continues to. Maybe even if its in God's will he will return out of retirement. Who knows but he is definitely a true leader and deserves that recognition because God is getting the glory.

I sit here and read everyones views on Sevin: How many of you have ever been homeless, addiction issues of every kind at still come out being alive mentally forget physically... As a Christian SDA of all faiths they would snare at this.....This mans has tears dripping out of my eyes, making me think cant be half steppin with God anymore....Tears dripping down face as I sit here and listen to all you judgememtal people is exactly why I stopped going to church an sitting in the pews with back stabbing self righteous Christians who think they shit don't stink,, Announcement to the world everyone shits stinks...straight goodz...and last I checked how many pastors out there in the trenches with the prostitutes, drug dealers, etc ...cant find one of them

we are all sinners and fall short of his glory so if you thought going to church was going to be different than sitting with your family then you were mistaken which i see you were but you have to understand people have to judge god told us to do this so that we make sure we are not falling for something that isnt from god i like sevin but i think his language isnt good for christian music i wouldnt want my son to listen to this music and thats how i feel about it

Mss Angeline, I think you are making a big mistake! If the actions of people make you stop fellowshipping with other christians or going to church, that could mean you never had a relationship with Christ. Remember, the church is an assembly of the worst people in the planet, who have been forgiven. That is why we act crazy sometimes, but at least we know we are crazy and need waxing! Look for a church. Take time before God and let him show you...

Bonabellfilms Abba Bless you! We believers really need to be careful as to how we interpret and share the Scriptures. I don't think implying that Asha may never have had a relationship with Christ is for any of us to say although I appreciate your comment about not letting others deter us! The Father says in Jeremiah 17:10 that He "searches the heart and tries the reigns" so only He can speak accurately of the relationship between Himself and those that are His. Not attending "church" is not a reason for someone to be perceived as not relating to Christ or other Christians. What can be said of private prayer time then? What can be said of the Scripture that says in Matthew 6:6 to go into our inner room, close the door and pray to our Father Who is in secret? If Asha takes time to do this, I would think that she is developing a relationship with Christ even if she chooses not to attend a "church." Truly, the word "church" refers to the called out ones which is us, the believers. Sadly, there are many (not all) "church leaders" and "churches" that are turning from the faith and those that perform while their hearts are far from the Father & His Son. If you're referring to Hebrews 10:24-25 about the fellowship of the saints, then I understand where you're coming from, but we need to read that more carefully. This pertains to stimulating one another to good deeds and encouraging one another rather than 1 man or woman standing in front of a seated audience and preaching/teaching which is not the definition of fellowship. Maybe saints fellowship before and after the sermon, but we can't label that experience as fellowship alone. Certainly, preaching/teaching can be very edifying, but it eliminates the true meaning of fellowship where all speak, encourage and share with each other which is how the early saints began - in the homes of fellow-believers. I'm certainly not discounting the church experience, I'm simply encouraging us all to read the Scriptures with the Spirit's guidance rather than merely following after tradition. I pray these words help - this is not at all intended to hurt or dispute anyone - this comes from love. Bless you all!

Eric Mojica God Bless you and thanks for the input. Much appreciated. To add, It is impose to pour out a whole theological experience on KZread. Social Media in general. But what we must understand is that it is important for us to have a fellowship of people with whom we share, we are taught and grow. Jesus had a custom of going into the synagogue and reading the scriptures. The bible encourages teachers and other gifts. Yes...it is scriptural for someone to teach and for others to follow. Jesus taught us that and he sent us to go make disciples. And what I encourage my sister to understand is...we are not perfect. I know I am not. But no one is an Island and certainly not in the body of Christ. MATT: 6 is focused about private fellowshipping with Jesus. That verse doesn't apply to what I was saying. Personally, and I repeat personally, I believe that people who have an issue being in a church or an assembly, do have issues with their ego and with submission. What is wrong with sitting and just be taught. I want to because I do not know everything.

I love your music, I'm going through some crazy shit. I feel the enemy inside my veins. Like a burning desire to not give a shit about anything. Lately I haven't been able to control my emotions. I'm quick to anger and I sometimes cry because I feel desserted where is Jesus when I need him? Your music speaks to me and has me feeling some kin of way. Thank you.

Update.... I'm doing much better now. He still working on me, and the crazy things is he was always there, waiting for me to accept him as my lord and savior. I love my new life that includes Jesus in it. My wife and I are much closer and I am much closer to my. children.

Wheelie Kings I have no issue with sevin however i do take exception to the statement he doesn't think it's sin. it doesn't matter brother what we think is sin or not God is the judge of that and he's clear on what sin is. just be careful words are actually powerful

Very true, but realistically, he is saving much more lives than lecrea by mentioning that negative word! Lorenzo Covarrubias Well look at his following for 1. This man has been spreading Gospel for so long, performing at churches and reaching younger crowds like myself. I didn't think I could become a Christian Artist, I thought I was to imperfect, too worldly and not worth it in Gods eyes. This man made me realize that there was more to it than just that, and that in fact I was worth it and so by becoming a Gospel related rapper I could do good just as Sevin is doing. He has listeners, and chooses to speak about God rather than what the secular artist raps about, I think that is saving a life with each song.
