Severide Risks His Life To Save a Builder | Chicago Fire

A major construction site has collapsed in town, Severide and his team try to save as many lives as they can.
Season 01, Episode 02 - Mon Amour:
Severide (Taylor Kinney) is hiding a serious shoulder injury sustained in the fire that killed Andy Darden and grapples with his guilt as he fights to rescue a construction worker trapped in a building collapse. Adding to the burden, Darden’s wife Heather (guest star Chaon Cross) turns on Severide at the annual firefighters’ barbecue, blaming him for her husband’s death. A call is made to an accident site at Hancock Tower, where two teenagers are pinned in a vehicle trapped beneath the falling debris of a broken window washer’s cart.

I thought of this scene after that, I can imagine Severide talking about Stella like Peter was talking about Georgie. "I married above my head, been playing catchup ever since." "You deserve a better man than me, so I decided I'm gonna be the man you deserve."

It's just how they fill the hose with water, that's literally the term they use.

No he doesn't. Kelly helps him record a video, then at the end of the episode he takes it to the man's wife.

Ah, jeez. From the injuries that were implied in the acting (very good, BTW), anyone with enough medical knowledge would know he was on borrowed time. The fact that he couldn’t move indicated possible neck/spinal injury from the fall, chest pain indicated broken ribs & possible lung pressure/collapse, plus internal bleeding. I’d imagine his heart wasn’t quite doing so good either, probably with being a bit shocky. Because they couldn’t reach him well enough to administer treatment, it was only a matter of time. Quite sad. 😔
This just sad, I feel bad for Peter, I know it’s fake but poor Peter.

looks to me that yes, Kelly was about to cut off the foot. but deep down, Peter knew he wasnt getting out of there alive, so he asked for a phone so he could talk to his wife one last time.
