🤔How would you grade this ICA stenosis?
🤓Ultrasound grading of internal carotid artery stenosis is based on a combination of hemodynamic and anatomical parameters.
👉The peak systolic velocity sampled at the narrowest point of the ICA can be used as one of the main hemodynamics parameters for detecting and grading an ICA stenosis, although it should not be used as the only parameter. In certain circumstances the PSV can be highly indicative of significant carotid stenosis.
