    What I love about it is that he had a complex about it due to korean beauty standards, but after The8 insisted on building his confidence, he started to like it and also encouraged a fan to get rid of her own complex by telling her about his own struggle~ I felt really proud of him that day. Honestly I love how the boys never bring one another down. They truly care about each other and their feelings.

    You should Jun also on the list. He is also a big supporter of lgbt, feminism, animals, etc. Jun's very close friends acted in known BL movies and dramas. Jun also posted a photo with Hush who is taiwan's first openly gay singer and said he wants to collab with him. He loves his songs. In NY (Going SVT), Jun bought a bag with a pride flag. Jun is a big support of women. His parents divorced when he was 2 years old. He sang a korean song "Mom" on one of their concert. He sang it for his mother for all the pain she went thru to protect her only son. His love for his mother is out of this world. Once when Seventeen was having an event, Jun noticed his fansite (girl) looked tired from holding her camera the whole time. Jun told called her noona and said that she should put the camera down if it's too hard. He told her that it doesn't matter and that she should relax and just enjoy watching. And Jun said many times in interview and on vlive that he wants to have animals, but he can't raise one right now cause he is too busy. He said an animal is like a family, it need all your love, care and time. He had raised many animals in the past and he respect them alot. EDIT: Jun's single Crow was produced by a gay couple from Malaysia and Crow is the very first song they had ever produced. Jun himself chose their song and the couple was very thankful for that. The song uses crows to represent people who are looked down upon or are outcasts of society, and says that 'crows' are still worthy of love and are still beautiful. Jun: "Crow conveys the message that there are more or less differences between people in this society. As long as you learn not to think in color, and learn to accept and appreciate, you would find that the crow is also a beautiful creature. The crow also has the courage to fly for what he wants." The background story and the message about prejudice hits even deeper. Remember the interview when Jun was asked what he thinks about people calling him weird. Jun answered with a slightly sad smile: "Very person is different and I'm perfectly normal."

    2:43 about what Wonwoo says, I really think about a lot. There are so many idols that are incredibly smart, incredibly woke, and actually don't get the chance to speak or say what's on their minds because their own fans put them inside a box/concept and refuse to think anything else of them. For example, Jeonghan has said before that he would have liked/would like to major in psychology, because human behaviour is really interesting to him and he'd like to learn more about it, but how many fans remember that? He's shown as the prankster and lazy one, as if he only had enough neurones to think of jokes.

  • @valiantzane8603

    @valiantzane8603

    Only a few knows about this and even shocked when they knew he is taking advertising major right now. Jeonghan is observant,sensitive to people around him and very understanding. He knows to respect peoples private space(the reason introverts like Woozi that doesn't like skinship is at ease with him for he doesn't force it) and a good listener. He easily adapts to peoples personalities and very fast thinker too. He is smart and also very empathetic.

    I'm not a carat but I've known of Jeonghan since about a year ago. One of the reason I knew of him was his long hair, for whatever reason it was a hot topic back then and I respected him so, so much for his Harley Quinn cosplay (?). But seeing this makes me unexplainably happy. In about two months from now I have to decide on my major in college and all my life I wanted to do nothing but psychology its my favourite thing ever, but my parents kept telling me that its a hopeless career, you're either really good at it or you're going to shit, its not gonna take you anywhere, only the crazies go for it, and I eventually started believing them. Was planning to take English. Knowing this just makes me feel so warm. Its like this weird validation I always needed but never got. Im so thankful for him to share this.

    this video is really important. i have friends who dont pay attention to svt because they dont like their music, and they just assume that they're bad. but they really arent. they're amazing, open, genuine boys full of emotion. this is exactly the reason I stan them; they're supporters. kindhearted supporters and wonderful people. people shouldn't hate them just because they dont like their music. like Wonwoo said, it's okay to not like something. but it's not okay to judge them simply by what you dont like about SVT'S music.

    It's ok not to stan because of a dislike for the artists music, after all that should be the thing driving you to like them and the thing that gets you to stay is them. But I do think it's wrong to hate and completely discredit their hard work and talent without knowing anything about them.

I think he feels it's important to mention the women in his life since Korean culture seems to promote father and son and daughter mother relationships specifically, and you don't tend to see men/boy's relate so much with their mother's or sisters. His dad is such a loving and supportive dad, he's always promoting svt around the island and to all of the tourists, it's so cute 💖💖

    I am that type of kpop stan who listen to different music and artists but only choose to stan a group based from their personalities. In my 15 years of being a kpop stan, ive never seen one like seventeen. They literally have everything. The talents are given but the humility and astonishing personality, this group really stands out from other groups. You can't barely see a group nowadays who stood up for different causes. In their own little ways they are able to help and promulgate stances on different issues. This video only proves that seventeen, more than the talent, they have the heart of a true celebrity. They dont just do it for fame, they do it because they know that this is whats right. Clickbaiting and hypocrisy isnt part of their dictionary. SEVENTEEN BEST BOYS. period.

The shelter specifically thanked him because he often visit and helps out, cleaning and taking care of the lil cats... he was actually the reason SVT had that session with those cats~ because he got them involved in it. He's very big on helping and caring about cats because he sees many being neglected or abandoned by their owners and left as strays. He feeds strays near their dorms often and calls them his friends~ He's such a cute goodhearted boy who cares about animal rights ;-; Anyway thank you so much for this video! It was the worst moment of my entire life leaving me so suicidal. The fact that seventeen (who have given me such joy since I stanned in 2018) show their support like this even in the smallest gestures just makes me wanna never leave their side. They’ve seriously helped me go through so much and I know I’ll never be able to see them and truly tell them how much they’ve been there for me but that’s okay. When i was in kindergarden and until 2nd grade, my mom always forced/pushed me to have the best grades or else she would punish me. I got always the best grades even when my mom didn`t forced me to. I wasn`t happy with that title mostly because it got boring to have it. At age 7, my mother signed me up in a dance class. I still go there, and honestly, it is the only i can actually smile and feel happiness. although my mom tells me "i don`t know why are you so interested in that. Honestly i only putted you there so that you can be away from the tecnology for a moment, but it seems like you took it way too serious" It has now became one of the couple reasons of why i still can be alive. I can't imagine how hard it must have been for Kai, I would've lost all my confidence so fast. Meanwhile, we have The8 telling Mingyu he's handsome and all, so his skin tone doesn't matter. It's in this kind of moments I'm happy to stan a group as open, kind and wonderful as Seventeen💎💖🥕

    I always loved SVT music but I didn't want to fall in the "carat" zone. Not because they are "not talented enough", but because I knew I would end up loving them and I can't bring myself to look after more idols. I've always been more girlgroup-type but seeing them how they TRULY are warms my heart... Might give them a chance though. Know I get why carats are so respectful, with such great examples I would be too! (I mean, I am respectful... But carats are a whole other level) Carats seem like a lovely modern family breaking "society rules" and I love that. Count me in from today! Just wanted to put this out there. Yes somethings they do because their company tells them to do to give them a good image, but we can’t judge their intentions based on that. We can’t also a 100% believe what we see, this world is not black and white, so there are a lot we don’t know about. My point is as carats it’s also our responsibility to educate them if they do something wrong and not just protect them. I hope we can all pay attention to ourselves and help each other along the way and listen to each other no matter what happens in the future bc scandals will happen in the future whether we like it or not. We are all from different backgrounds and we need to understand that somethings are more controversial to others even if we don’t know the reasons, so we need to listen to each other. That’s all I have to say.

    Just wanna and my own small little moment most Carats may not know of. On their Andromeda vapp after winning their first rookie award they briefly talked about how not only is it hard for some people to lose weight, its also hard for some people to gain weight to which Wonwoo and Minghao briefly talked about their struggles with weight gain. This got me so emotional for so many reasons. I personally am underweight and have trouble gaining weight. Its a lot harder than some people seem to think so they fact they they acknowledged it and know about it makes me so happy. It also just made me happy to hear someone in the spotlight, someone with a voice, say something, especially in a culture they live in where appearance and being "skinny" is the ideal.

    Oh an adding to my own comment i'd just like to thank Seventeen for always trying to learn a bit of the native language to whichever country they are going to. They don't have to, and they know they don't have to, but they do it anyways because they want to. I can only speak on my experience of seeing them here in NZ. When introducing themselves some spoke in Maori, which is big because a lot of New Zealanders nowdays don't speak Maori often. The fact they could have just spoken in English but took it that one little step further, even if it was maybe one sentence or a couple words, melts my heart.

    Ever since I became a Carat and learning about Vernon being half korean half american I have wondered how it was for him moving to Korea and growing up there because of his more western look. I know that a lot of koreans look down on people who looks foreign or in other ways look/are different. I have always had a feeling that he would get those looks from strangers but I have always hoped that it wasn't the case. To hear him say the things he did in the clip at 3:05 at such a young age is almost heartbreaking. But I'm glad that he didn't let all that stop him from making music.

    Same, I have abandoned many boy groups I stanned before because I witnessed very problematic attitudes. Like VIXX, whom I loved for 3 whole years but somehow I fell out of love when I watched One Fine Day where they kept saying N looks like the black pig they saw on a farm. N was really uncomfortable but they keep picking on him and it ticked me off because I AM DARK SKINNED ALSO, and N is probably lighter than me. Also in BTS where they keep making fun of girl group dances during their earlier years, but BTS are more mature now and I appreciate that they've learned from their mistakes. However, one group that just infuriated me was iKON. During that episode where they had to give Hanbin a punishment because he lost one game, they decided to make him "come out" to his mom by admitting that he likes men. They were laughing heartily at the thought of coming out so I shut the episode down and cried furiously because iKON was one of the inspirational groups I've met and I was so let down. I am a closeted gay living in a homophobic family and they do not understand how hard it is for gays to come out. Them treating it like a joke made me unstan them in seconds.

    one of the best decisions i've made this year is stanning seventeen. more than the visuals, overflowing talents and diverse personalities in a single group, what attracted me most especially is their dynamics. the way they bond with each other is more than friends, more than group mates, they're a family. their words are impactful and they surely use their influence for the better option and for the greater good. as a new carat, i am beyond amazed of how seventeen has been breaking barriers and stereotypes, supporting various movements and most importantly, their humanity. i wish i stanned them earlier and have supported them from the start, but i guess it isn't to late to support them and be inspired by them. sending love to all carats all over the world, please keep supporting these precious men. say the name, *seventeen* 🤍
