FACT ABOUT SEVENTEEN THEY ARE SELF PRODUCING IDOLS AND THEY ARE THE KING OF SYNCHRONIZATION

Thank you for checking Seventeen out! They’re actually a 13-member group. The reason why they’re called Seventeen is because they have 13 members, 3 sub-units inside the team (Vocal, Performance, Hip-Hop) and is 1 group. So 13 + 3 + 1 = 17. They’re well known as self-producing idols. One of their member, Woozi produces, composes, writes and directs almost all of their songs, whether title tracks or b-sides. Another member, Hoshi, work with other choreographers and the Perfomance Unit to create their stages. Almost all members have writing credits in their songs and also contribute to the group in various ways. Two of them (Wonwoo and Mingyu) have even directed MVs. There’s also Seungkwan who get involved in the more business and marketing aspects of the group. He is also a big fan of Kelly Clarkson. (Seungkwan is the guy who said “Kelly, I’m not bad boy” in their Last Time I... video). If you’re a fan of live vocals, I recommend checking out their stages from Immortal Songs. It’s a song where the guests recreate classic songs from Korean singers and battle with each other to get the highest votes from the audience. They’ve performed there three times and have won at least once. Seventeen also has quite the diverse range of music genres under their belt. However they are most well-known for their fun and upbeat songs. One of their representative songs would be Very Nice. It’s a song that even non-fans would know about. That’s how much of an impact it had. It’s also been sued countless of times in Korean variety shows as background music and sound effects. Another fun and upbeat song is Adore U. This one has more of a youthful and fresh vibe to it. If you want to check out some of their other songs, I recommend their two latest albums: Heng:garae and ;[Semicolon]. Heng:garae had Left and Right as its title track and is full of man fun tracks. While ;[Semicolon] was a special album and features two songs sung by the whole group, and 4 song sung by each age line (95s, 96s, 97s, and 98s and 99 together). For lyrics, I highly recommend seventeenlyrics on YT. Their translations are one of the most accurate, and you also get to know who sung which part. This is especially great for b-sides as those songs don’t necessarily have MVs. The channel is also very comprehensive. Lastly, they have great chemistry with each other and this really shows in how they interact with each other. A show by them I highly recommend is Going Seventeen 2020. It is free on KZread under Seventeen’s channel and has English subs. It is seriously one of the most entertaining variety shows ever and is so well-known that it could easily rake in a million views in 24 hours for each new episode. The show is also episodic, meaning you don’t have to watch from the start to know what’s happening. Just pick the ones that sound interesting and watch from there. My personal recommendations are: 1. Bungee Jump - The members have to play games and those that are eliminated have to go and bungee. This gets especially funny when 2 of the members who are afraid of heights are on the verge of getting eliminated. It’s also heartwarming to see how they interact with each other so well. 2. Debate Night I and II - If you want to see them debate nonsensical topics in a logical manner, this is the place for you. For example, which is better? 3 eyes or 3 arms? They first did it in 2019 but because it was so fun to watch, the fans asked for a second series so we have Debate Night II in Going Seventeen 2020. Whichever you watch, it will be funny as heck. 3. Four-wheeled Kart Rider - This is a more physical game where they are playing something like real-life Mario Kart with items and all. Some funny moments to watch out for: a constantly cheating NPC, life quotes from The8 and showers open for business. I have tons more to talk about. But I think this is long enough. Do ask if you have any questions or want some other recommendations

They are a 13 member group and are called beacuse they have 3 units within the group( Hip-hop unit, Vocal unit and performance unit) and 1 as a whole team, so 13+3+1=17. They are a self-producing group with Woozi( Vocal unit leader and also the shortest member ) composing and producing all of Seventeen songs with the help of other members(mainly Hip-hop unit as they write their own rap lyrics) and Hoshi(leader of performnce unit) along with performance unit has hand in choreographing all of Seventeen performances. They just released an iconic performance of Shining Diamond at their Seventeen youtube channel. They performed it at their latest online concert 4 days ago. This is the first track from their first album 17 Carat, released in 2015. This is the origin of their fandom name, Carats.

If you want to hear them sing live, watch the Studio Choom version of "Left and Right"! But honestly, everything by them is worth listening. I've never had the chance to attend one of their concerts but I've heard many people say that they are even better live. Love from an Italian Carat mom ❤️🇮🇹🥕🙋 P.S. Carat is Seventeen's fandom name

They made their own songs and choreograph their dance but themselves with the help from proffesional choreographer! They're one of top kpop group that really talented af and respected by other idols and fans. Their vocals are top tier srsly!

thank you for checking out seventeen! you might be interested in the video 'seventeens best vocals', it's a great compilation. but if you want specific performances you can check out their covers of 'tell me', 'escaping the city', and/or 'short hair' on immortal songs (that show in particular doesn't allow lipsynching so u know its all live! other live performances in K-pop for any group are usually a combination of lipsynching and live vocals bc of their intense choreo, but SVT are great live singers!) as for other songs you can check out: 'home;run' is their most recent title track (they performed it on james corden), 'dont wanna cry' is popular w a lot of international fans especially if you like edm, 'very nice/aju nice' is the quintessential seventeen song, and if you want a darker concept you should check out 'fear'. those are just a few suggestions but honestly you can't go wrong when it comes to seventeens music!
