Glasses Man is Wonwoo (pronounced Won-oo or Won-u. Second "W" is silent). He was going through a very rough period of his life during this era especially when this was filmed, so they purposefully made sure to not overwhelm him since he didn't want to go on a long break from activities. He's one of the rappers and they did the parts in the songs in a way where it started from after his rap verse or cut the song off before it got to his verse. I just didn't want you to think it's because he doesn't get lines or because they didn't evenly distribute the song parts for this show.

Please don't avoid Seventeen because of the amount of members, you can take as much time as you need to get to know them. Their music and talent is very worth it.

The one you liked the most and said he was adorable, His name is DK. He and the Blonde one in the grey jacket, Seungkwan, are Main vocalists. The one with the glasses is Wonwoo. He is one of the rappers. The one in the Mesh Top, his name is Dino. He is one of the Main Dancers, a Lead Rapper, a Sub Vocalist, and Maknae of the group. I understand that ppl might feel intimidated by the number of members in SVT. You dont have to learn their names right away. I think at the end of the day If you listen to their music and enjoy it that's all that really matters. Also, about the line distribution and stuff, it was just this performance. SVT is actually known to have one of the fairest line distributions in kpop even though they have a lot of members. If you want to listen to their ballads you should check out their vocal unit's music, I am pretty sure 90% of the vocal unit's music is ballads. You would love it. The one with the glasses didn't have a lot of lines because it was his first schedule after his hiatus(his mom passed away during that time). So his lack of lines was definitely intentional. I will give the members names in the order they were standing in the start so if you want to get into them more it might be helpful. (from left to right) Jeonghan, Scoups, Jun(the one with the Lee Know vibes), Hoshi(Biggest Shawol), DK, Woozi(Producer), Wonwoo, Seungkwan, The8, Mingyu, Joshua, Vernon, and Dino.

The one with the glasses is Wonwoo (or affectionately called Wonu) he doesn’t sing much here because he’s coming back from grieving the passing of his mother. But he’s in the rap line and has the deepest voice The one you adore is named DK (Seokmin is his actual name). He’s a goober and a half but also a power vocalist like the one in the blonde hair Seungkwan. Their producer and writer for most of the music they have is woozi (jihoon) he’s the one that’s next to Wonwoo in the rolled up sleeves and high voice. Mesh shirt is their Maknae! Dino! He’s so so talented and his laugh is the most contagious thing! But yes this group is soooooo worth the deep dive! They are literally just a group of aces! They also are all just chaos and a true family. I suuuuuck at names so, yes, it took a while. WORTH Edited for typo and not wanting to spread a negative stereotype

there is so much more to Dino than "bulied" by his hyungs and honestly we should stop spreading this agenda, because then people think he's not loved as much as he is but it also deminishes the fact that he is such an all rounder, he sings raps, dances and choreographs so amazingly I really wish carats would have much more to say about him than just that

seventeen definitely do have straight up ballads. for this medley, the majority of the songs they included were title tracks or well known b-sides. even though svt have amazing vocals, they are very much a performance focused group, so even their slower title tracks are going to be songs that can be danced to rather than straight up ballads. however, if you dive into their b-sides they actually have really beautiful ballads like habit, don't listen in secret, circles, if you leave me, etc. as others in the comments have said the member with glasses and the striped shirt is wonwoo. this was his first schedule back after his mother passed away, and since he was obviously still grieving they purposefully didn't give him a lot of lines generally speaking, seventeen's line distribution is very fair. they have 3 subunits that specialize in different areas, hip hop, vocal, and performance. early on in their career the line distribution was a little less balanced, with performance team having less lines and vocal team tending to have more lines, but that hasn't been an issue for a while now. on most of their albums each of the subunits also have their own song, and on some albums they have "mixed unit" songs (which can be any random combination of 2 to ~7 members), which lets the members have more time to show off their vocals or rapping

Tiny blond in the middle with his hands in his pockets or crossed 80% of the video is Woozi and he produces and writes basically all their music. All the members write, compose and choreograph depending on their main expertice, but he's definitely the main one and won Producer of the year back in 2021.

Their Title tracks tend to be more upbeat but they also have some of the best ballads in Kpop in my personal opinion. 'If you leave me' from their last full album, Imperfect Love, Second Life, Don’t Listen In Secret, Habit, Smile Flower, Us Again, we‘re gonna make it shine, pinwheel,……there‘s A LOT. Most of these are by the Vocal Unit(5 members) 'I don’t Understand but I love you' is more of an R&B Vibe by the Performance Unit. I also recommend Shadow, Fast Pace, Heaven’s Cloud. Some of my favourit B-sides.

Seventeen has one of the best vocals in kpop, and they definitely have the best bond, they've been together since they were around 13-18 years old

Your unofficial bias-which is one of my 3 biases alone with Jun and Dino (Mesh Shirt)-is DK or Dokyeom. He's literally one of the loveliest people I've ever seen. He's sunshine if it was a person and he's so gentle, loving, and affectionate to everyone but also one of the funniest idols. I LOVE him, like I could genuinely cry over this man 😭 DK and Wonu are called SVT's Sun and Moon because DK is loud and energetic while Wonwoo is quiet and chill but they're very gentle to their members.

TBH, I really was intimidated about their numbers when I first saw Seventeen, but so many people knew the members so well that was part of my interest as well - how do all these people know them all so well, how??? hahahaha And once you start to get to know them it is so easy actually - because they are all so different, and then they are divided into the 3 units which are vocal, hip hop, performance - so that helps as well to mentally create a way to identify the members. Anyway - I'm sure everyone has told you everyone by now in the comments, but you really appreciated the main vocals a lot (sweet boy black hair - DK, "SINGER singer #1" blonde hair grey blazer - Seungkwan). They usually do have a lot of backing vocals in the track that aren't performed live - often it's almost an instrumental color because they are frequently vocal layers from the same members over again. Some things are done live, though - like a lot of ad libs and occasional intended duetting parts that do harmony together, which you did hear a little of in this but not as much as do exist through the discography. I'm very vocal driven, personally - and I think you would find much to appreciate if you dive deeper into Seventeen. While the vocal unit (DK, Seungkwan, Joshua (spoke English, wavy lighter hair and sweet voice), Jeonghan (sweet voice you noted early on, far left - v-neck sweater, black hair), and our short king - Woozi) have many pure ballad type songs with harmony that you could explore. There's an incredible duet song called Say Yes that features our two main vocals - but also the other members of the group can sing so well also. A song you might really love from the latest album, for example, is I Don't Understand But I Luv U which is a Performance Unit song - Performance Unit includes Hoshi (blonde with a ton of energy, "EH EH"), Jun (Lee Know visuals, lighter but not fully bleached hair), the8/Minghao (red hair), and Dino (mesh shirt). Killer vocal feature for those members. A great thing to also check out is their Rolling Stone in My Room performance which has a song from each unit, including another amazing PFU ( Performance Unit) song called Lilili Yabbay in a ballad version (as compared to their original version that has some incredible choreography). A few other of my favorite vocal heavy songs: OT13: If You Leave Me Ainochikara Lie Again All My Love Heaven's Cloud Vocal Unit: Habit Hug Same Dream, Same Mind, Same Night Performance Unit: 247 I Don't Understand But I Love You Hip Hop Unit: I Can't Run Away Lean On Me If I Mixed Units: I Don't Know Light a Flame

It kills me every time I watch the start of "울고 싶지 않아," Hoshi says,"Wonwoo, what's your mood right now?" which gives off more of a "Wonwoo, you doing ok right now?" feel and to that Wonwoo replies the line that starts the song just once, "I'm trying not to cry (in this moment)" knowing his mom passed away pretty recently prior to this taping. The line is directly translated to "Don't want to cry," but it can also be a short way of saying "I'm holding back my tears" or "I'm trying not to cry."

If I remember correctly Wonwoo (guy with glasses) had just gotten back after his mom died so they were easing him back into everything. Idk if all of that is right though I’m a baby carat so correct me if it’s wrong lol

You're right, he had just come back from taking some time off to grieve his mom.

Seventeen is actually broken up into 3 teams, rap, Vocal and performance/dance (13 Members + 3 Teams + 1 Group = Seventeen) so normally vocal line gets the majority of the vocal lines in songs which were the majority of the people you saw with the most lines and adlibs. Wonwoo (your glasses guy) is one of the rappers so in more vocal heavy songs he gets less lines. You'll notice in their unit songs there's a bit more even line distribution depending on the song. It depends on who is main rapper/Vocalist, lead rapper/Vocalist or sub rapper/Vocalist that determines who gets more lines. The little short blonde, Woozi does the majority of their production and songwriting and he tries to be fair distribution wise but its kind of an unspoken rule that mains get first dibs on the majority of lines. Run to You the one with the heavy guitar that sounded like an anime opener? He wrote it when he was bored 😂

The reason Wonwoo did not participate is because he was still mourning the death of his mother when this was recorded. He wanted to be there, but the group did not want to force him to perform too much.

I'd recommend watching the super long guide of seventeen from caratline, as you would only have to focus on 4-5 members for each video and get to go more deeper into seventeen. I think you might have an easier time pointing out who you're talking about because they're separated into 3 units and sing one song each. (also a personal fave some members sang hot and covered blueming in IU's pellete, not everyone is there but they sang with a live band and did some harmonies I thought they were great)
