Yep! I remember smoking weed with these guys backstage in Tempe, AZ in 1998(I think it was anyway). I was in a rising local band and our manager got us a hangout session with them after a show they put on(Chester Bennington was also at that show in Grey Daze). They still seem like the same down to Earth, humble guys they were back then. I remember being blown away by Lajon being friendly enough to put aside all the trappings of a backstage post-show of being a rock star and just chilling with us like we were friends of his. We were getting big enough in AZ to where we were getting to mingle with quite a few bigger acts that came through the state and like anything else, some are giant assholes and others aren't. When I think back, Coal Chamber was an absolute nightmare to be around. Wayne Static was another really good dude. Sad he passed away. The band I was in never "made it" because we broke up over "creative differences" like many bands do. Glad to see these guys are still around and doing well.

I saw Sevendust with Creed back in the early 2000's. I actually found out about Sevendust at a local cd store. I saw their first album and said "This looks interesting." I listened to it and I loved it. I remember the first big story about them was about Skinheads showing up to their concert because they thought that their songs were about white supremacy. I can only imagine how they felt when Lajon walked out on stage. I would have laid on the floor from laughing so hard.

Ultraspank (their bass player still owes me a pack of smokes), Clutch, Stuck Mojo (Bones is a cool fucking dude), and Sevendust. Lajon was the nicest guy ever. He's a little dude and I'm 6'5. It was comical looking. Morgan was so drunk he could barely keep his chin off his chest. We talked for a minute but he was fully wrecked. They put on a hell of a show though. When they finally got him off of me - my head was bleeding quite a bit. LJ stopped the show mid song saying “hey get her up here - she’s hurt”, had security pick me up over the gate so I was directly in front of the stage and they gave me a chair to finish out the concert holding a towel against my head. 😆 They all kept checking on me during the rest of the show. I still have the scar and they are still the nicest band I’ve met.

Most under rated band, but what a show.I don't even know where to start.everyone in this band is Super Star class. Most powerful vocals, the guitar work is second to none,Bass guitar that makes you feel like your having a heart attack on a roller coaster, and last but definately not least Morgan on the drums, dudes explosive fills are the stuff of legend.

I saw Sevendust down at the Metro Theatre in Sydney just 2 nights ago (26/04/2019) and as we were lining up for entry the whole band walked out and shook hands with the fans waiting in line at the time, and see the great thing about that was everyone kept there cool and greeted them like old friends as they did us. Now majority of that crowd were older, middle aged men and women with families and life experience - maturity, and I am just this 18 year old Aussie boy who has a passion for his music and to have met, looked into the eyes of and shook hands with each and every member of that band was the most surreal experience. I was lucky enough to be up on the barrier of their set, directly in front of me was Clint. Multiple times I made communications and gestures to Clint because I genuinely worship him and his talents. I play guitar aswell, and he took a moment in the show to come forward to me and hand me the pick he had (I know it’s common for band members to throw picks) but the fact that he handed it to me followed by a wink and a chest tap was something truly special it made my night. I sent him a message on Instagram, nothing super fanboy, just a genuine thank you and he responded just today with a simple devils horns and a heart. You won’t get stuff like this at modern day mainstream shows. Metal is a beautiful thing because its real, it’s intimate, it’s raw and this band is a perfect example as to why. Thank you 7D 🤘🏼♥️

Fact: Clint Lowery is from Fayetteville, NC, grew up in Layfayette Village and attended Douglas Byrd Senior High School. I don't think the dude ever graduated. I use to drive him and his brother Corey around after shows. Clint is about 3 or 4 years younger than me.
