The beginning where Samus is wearing the Metroid suit and does the melee counter tutorial with the enemy, and then just proceeds to completely overkill annihilate it with the hyper beam after, nearly made me lol

Plus the hyper beam doesn’t count as a counter attack, so when you fight Raven Beak in his second phase (phase 1 part 2), where melee countering is the only way to damage him, he’s impossible to damage.

I love how Samus suit shows how much more armor she gets with each upgrade, before it would be the same armor but a little bigger and with more lights, now you can see how the armor covers her organic parts with each upgrade.

The metroid parts spread with each upgrade (the light on her chest)

It would be nice if the Pulse Radar in Metroid Dread can give the health and damage of enemies. It would make for a tradeoff of obtaining information but depriving you of Aeion energy to use Flash Shift until it recharges.

It worked well enough for my 100% run, but that would definitely make it more useful for casual players

Seeing the Varia colors on the Gravity Suit makes me realize just how much I like the white added to Samus' palette in Dread

It would be so sick if there was a debug menu to let you pick and choose upgrades whenever as you please

They should add a mod that makes BOTW's Guardian theme play during an EMMI chase. Or they should put the EMMI chase theme in BOTW.

After seeing that free camera mod, it hit me that I’d love to see a mod that puts the camera right behind Samus like when you’re shooting with the omega cannon. It might be super game breaking, but I think it’d be neat nonetheless (Bosses would probably still need to be in 2D view. That would be chaos otherwise 😂)

The alternate colour schemes for the Gravity Suit is so simple, yet so effective. The Light Suit colour scheme is so effective. Plus, I love that the Varia Suit alternative for Gravity has yellow instead of white. Don't get me wrong, I love the white, but yellow just looks clean.

canonically the hyper beam is just all samus' arm cannon abilities channeled into one extremely powerful beam so i guess it actually makes sense as none of the beams themselves can hurt the emmi

@@leahcim6941 But then again, the Hyper Beam seems to be a whole lot more powerful than the Omega Beam and can destroy things a fully upgraded Wave Beam cant scratch. So itd make more sense if the Hyper Beam did work on the EMMI than not.

I am a simple person with simple pleasures. A mod to turn the visor and lights on the Gravity Suit from green to blue would be all I need.

yeah the first gripe I had with the gravity suit in dread was that the lights weren't blue. otherwise it was great

The elevator music really catches the vibe of the loading animation

The free camera mod makes me think Nintendo had planned around modders tinkering with the game.

Not gonna lie, it was a bit of a missed opportunity not to give us an option to use some "cheats", like in the first Metroid game, after beating the game once. A new game plus with the Zero Suit, or the Metroid suit with the hyper beam...would have been very cool, at least for a while.

The only mod i want to see in this game is ray tracing it would be kind of fascinating to see it in a 2d game like this also ive always been interested if someone made a metroid mod a bit like terraria or Minecraft were you could just dig through the world and make you own paths or accidentally drop into the end boss room 😅

Idc about having "DISPLAY ENEMY DAMAGE / HEALTH" on normal enemies, but I REALLY wish it was there for bosses. Castlevania does it (not the total health, but at least damage dealt), I don't get why Metroid doesn't. It's not like it makes the game easier or anything

And this is all via emulation right? That or Homebrew.
