@Duppressor - one KEY thing you forgot to mention in the beginning is making sure people understand that your PC is connected to the internet via WI-FI. Then you simply connect the PC to the console via an ethernet cable, as you mentioned. Stating that I think would help people out! Thank you for your video though. Go Canada!!

Dude. You are awesome. I spent more than 30mins with their support with no resolve. They wanted me to open up cmd prompt and do a lot of complicated stuff. Your video worked first try. Turning off the Xbox and using the NordLynx to Share from, instead of Tap Adapter V9, was the fix. Bravo. They should post your vid to their support tbh

Yes. This method requires a desktop or laptop for it to work.

So I see that I have to have an Ethernet from my laptop into the Xbox… but do I also need to have an Ethernet from my laptop to my router? I only have one Ethernet port on my laptop and don’t want to invest in anything until I know exactly what I need here

You can have the laptop connected to the internet via wireless, and use the ethernet port for the xbox connection. If you cannot do wireless for your setup you may try an ethernet dock with multiple ports. I dont even know if that would work either. Just an idea.

I’m getting a double nat warning on Xbox, anyway to get past this? It appears nord uses a double nat system if I’m reading correctly. I set the nord vpn up on the router ASUS ac5300, and hardwired the Xbox directly to that.

If your router supports a VPN thorugh (there are some on the market out there) then Im sure you could do it that way.

It's inconsistent, sometimes it works flawlessly other times it throws a fit

Usually you'll need to reset the network adapters when the PC is turned off for it to work again. I have another video on my channel that explains this.

If you've done everything correctly in the video (I am assuming) then I cannot say as to why the host isnt on your desired location. My guess? COD server is smart and knows where you are. You can always try another location.

I do believe that this is possible to obtain VPN. But not via NordVPN. There are routers in the marketplace you may purchase that have/come with a VPN. In the case for setting up NordVPN via this method, it doesn't work unfortunately. But clever thinking!

I’m using a windows 10 laptop and followed all of these steps. But still getting unavailable for the NAT type on my Xbox. My laptop is connected to my WiFi network and I just have one Ethernet port on my laptop. Any ideas?

Alot of games when your connected will show your IP address. This method will allow you to mask your IP while gaming. You can also change to a different country if needed.

This is pretty clever thinking. You could try a micro usb/USB-C to ethernet. No guarantees though!

can i still use the nord vpn on my xbox if the ethernet lead is connected to my pc from the modem if i can't then what shall i do so that i can because if i take the ethernet cable out of my pc i won't have internet on it?

Most computers have a single ethernet port in them. 2 Solutions: 1: Go wireless with your PC. Connect PC and Xbox via Ethernet cable. 2: Purchase a Ethernet hub via USB. That way you'll have muilple ports. However it will require some configuring. Never done this myself, but its worth a try.

I've never seen that issue before. If you haven't tried resetting everything (ie xbox, network adapters) then thats what id try next.

I did everything exactly as you described. However, my xbox s, although it senses a wired connection and i disabled its wifi connection, the NAT Type is indicating “Unavailable”. I should mention that my laptop does not have an Ethernet input, so I am utilizing a USB adapter to Ethernet for a wired connection from my laptop to my xbox. Not sure if that’s what’s causing this or not, doubt that’s the issue. Please advise if you can!

Hi there. You're probably the first person I know of that is using the USB ethernet adepter for this method. You can try resetting network adapters via kzread.info/dash/bejne/lXaTpZOJmJfWlM4.html&ab_channel=Duppressor . If it doesnt work after reseting them, id say that it wont work unfortunately.

The internet adapter via USB 3.0 or type C works the same way. You will find all in the "change adapter options" only the name of the apadter will change. You can right click and go to share just like he did in the video. You probably will need two adapters, get one type C and another usb adapter.

@@theman226 There are some videos out there to link your computer via router to broadcast VPN internet. It is possible. However, I dont know how to do it. I wouldnt be surprised if it is done by the same method.

You could try a USB ethernet hub. However I cannot guarantee that will work.

If the laptop has an ethernet port you're in luck! If not you can try getting a usb to ethernet attachment.

So to be clear you need an Ethernet from router to laptop and Ethernet from computer to Xbox? Because I’ve tried doing it from wireless connect on laptop to Ethernet on Xbox like 4 times and it doesn’t work, I am using a usb to Ethernet adaptor on laptop and my Xbox is series X. I did exactly what the video is shown. And tried it multiple times. What am I doing wrong lol

You don't necessarily need an ethernet connect from the router. A wireless connection from either a desktop or laptop will be just fine. The connection between the xbox and laptop/desktop MUST be an ethernet connection for this method to work. I am not 100% sure if an Ethernet adaptor will work for this method. It has always worked for me ethernet via desktop to ethernet via xbox.

i did everything to a T once and it worked now i do every\thing again now it never works.....
