Sir, i applaud and thank you very much for this gem of a video. i bought myself this exact unit and ive done many prints but never been happy with the initial layer. i also found that prints were coming unstuck from the base and even bought some adhesive which worked but still unhappy with bottom layer. since following your video i have now prints with a flawless foot.

@@1937Brett Sure. For me I had to have the bed all the way up at 70c for any print, or it would not stick. Also make sure your build plate is clean, wash it with an old fasdhioned bar of soap, don't use a handwash gel as they usually have oils in. After that I gave a rub down with Isopropyl alcohol. Provided your Z-offset is Ok, your prints should really stick after that.

great video, you should do more tutorials, very easy and right to the point, i hate videos that are like 15 minutes to explain a process that only needs 3 minutes to explain , thanks , a video explaining how tight the belts and the Z axis wheels should be would be much appreciated if you ever have the time to do it

Near this topic, wondering if you see the same thing. I got the Kobra Go with ABL. It sucks out of the box, the bed level deviation is 2-3 mm across the board, and the ABL doesn't compensate for this enough, one side will be smashing the filament and the opposite gapping. I can see the Z-axis moving, so it's running the mesh during prints, but not good enough. I got the yellow bed springs installed where the stock bed standoffs were, then did a manual bed level with the PEI spring sheet (it's not flat either, so got to measure with that sheet on), and after getting the bed flat manually, I run the ABL and see the mesh map is much better within 0.3 mm of each other. Still I'll run ABL to compensate for the middle. I did a full bed flatness test print and it is perfection everywhere I'm really impressed.

When i did the same 2 months ago it damdaged my bed with nozle becasue zero on z-axis in idling state is different from when it's printing. In idle it's higher and when i set offset and started printing it tried to go under bed. It might be just a malfunction in my case but better adjust it like it's shown in instruction - while printing. Luckily magnetic cover is double sided. That time i also set something about -4 or -5mm offset, now it's running on -1.18

The bed (metal) expands when it's hot. Also, the bed itself can be manually adjusted, so no one should take the exact number in the video - that's just relative to where his bed is at that particular time, and as long as it's not adjusted afterwards (e.g. he leaves it that way, doesn't move the printer, etc). The key thing to remember is the distance between the nozzle and the bed for your particular set up. (It might be -5M, -.02M, +.05MM or whatever).

noctua fans are MUCH quieter, but they run at a higer voltage, so youll have to buy a buck converter to solder in line. If you can handle that the difference is night and day. Also buy a concrete paver stone and some foam, put the foam on sturdy table or desk and the concrete block on top of foam. place printer on block. Printing sounds will be muted drastically
