very timely. Just finished setting up my AAT for 1.3, and in the process of building AR Wing Pro with 1.3 and INAV 5. :)

Hello! your video is very good! I have this vtx US version (only two channels) but I live outside the US and it is allowed to use all the channels. Do you know if there is a way to unlock them?

great video, I was using this vtx on my plane using emax es08ma (analog)with ferrite rings on the servos and also on the vtx but i was getting a lot of interference on the servos(jitter) what do you recommend to fix this issue?

I can't say I've had this. I have the servo cabled and VTx cables next to each other. I think the VTx is about 10cm away from the servo, bit it could be less. Are you only getting the jittering on the side with the VTx?

@@MrD i have about 8/9 cm from the servo and cables are also separated (vtx from servo) and yes only the opposite wing of the vtx servo jitters , but when i reduce the power level on the vtx the jitter goes way

@@heyjackfpv5469 that seems strange that the opposite wing to the VTx jitters. I guess your Rx is that side? Have you tried turning off telemetry on the receiver? That can cause jitter.

@@MrD yes I've tried , i guess it must be that servo that has the issue

Darren you can have the levels automatically change in logic conditions with distance as in your earlier videos yes?

Yes. That will work fine. You would just need to change the programming to only have the 3 (off the top of my head) power levels that the 1G3SE use

Is the vtx power issue for ppl using irc tramp still there that limits power being set to max 800mw? I have a reaper extreme 2.5w vtx I can't figure out how to get it to work fully with inav and I'm getting.close to jist cutting the tramp wire and controlling the vtx power with the button in the side instead

The real issue is tramp itself. It hasn’t been updated in a long time. It should really be able to provide the power levels, as SmartAudio has for a long time.

So I've just ordered the RMRC 1.3ghz vtx and receiver will inav 6.0 work the same on this? Great information as always thanks.

No, they are completely different video transmitters. The RMRC transmitter operates at full power all the time.

I understand with this vtx it will be full power,I can't get a picture on monitor or osd. I set frequency to 1.3ghz via cli, in configuration set to boscam B only thing I'm not sure what to slect in ports tab i have yellow video and white audio on uart 4 but not sure what to enable in ports tab? In cli when i check status it showing no vtx detected. I'm basically lost at this point. Thanks in advance

This VTx won’t communicate with INAV at all. You just set it up as a standard analogue OSD. You don’t set up anything in ports.

If it won't communicate with inav i don't understand, vtx is connected to f405 vtol flashed with inav 6.0 how would I get picture or osd to monitor, sorry but very confused

  • @MrD

@egtreadway4232 because it’s a standard analogue VTx. You connect the camera to the flight controller (C1 pad I guess on that FC, if not it’ll be labelled cam). Then the vtx pad goes to the video in on the VTx. The OSD is added to the camera image by the chip on the flight controller. If you’re not getting any picture at all, either there’s a problem with the cabling or the channel on the VTx and VRx don’t match.

It’s just a cheap thing I bought from Banggood a few years ago. At the time the accuracy was comparable with the IRC power meter.
