    Do you need the bobbin thingy there that clips the line or can you just put your line through the alarm ? What is the purpose of the bobbin!?

  • @WetLines

    @WetLines

    3 жыл бұрын

    You can put it there without a bobbin yes but it's much better to have one. The purpose of the bobbins is mainly when fishing at distance. Used to detect bites, more specifically 'drop backs...... Bobbins will be able to give you an almost instant alert to any action on your line. So they are definitely worth having!!

    Great video though as a newcomer it would have been nice to know what the 'Bobbin'? on the Rod pod is for?

  • @official_drgaming455

    @official_drgaming455

    Just another indicator to tell if you have a bite as it will either lift or drop depending on which one you get, as a bait alarm will make a noise when the line takes any movement often meaning you pull away to early, the bobbin when the fish has took the hook will move against the alarm due to major movement of line, giving a more clear indicator of a bite if unsure

    The rod pod is offer used on tougher ground when it's is too hard to put in bank sticks, put alot of people I fish with just prefer the stability as less chance of a bank stick falling over

    Hi thanks for the vid, I had a fight on for About 10 mins.. just about to net the fish up and the line snapped! Was using a shimano baitrunner 10000 ST I’m just wondering did I have the drag on to TIGHT? Therefor the line snapped? I let the fish take lots of line through the battle but when I got It close I didn’t want it to drift off into the wilderness like you said the the line was tight and snapped! Any advice on that please mate? Cheers

  • @WetLines

    @WetLines

    3 жыл бұрын

    Could have been that the drag was too tight yes, but it's also possible that there may have been a snag in the water that clipped your line and snapped it. So it's very hard to say for sure, but if you're using the drag to loosen and tighten how much line the fish can take during the fight then í suspect it could have been a snag.

  • @millwallfan06

    Wetlines thanks for the reply! Yes I was using the drag to loosen and tighten during fight but were it was such a fight I May have tightened to tight at the wrong time Possibly? Or like you say a snag yes! I’ve now learnt that when the fish has energy let the drag go, and when there tired tighten up Is that correct? Only thing I was worries about Was Letting to much line out On the drag and then getting the fish tangled and lost that way

  • @WetLines

    @WetLines

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@millwallfan06 yeah that's pretty much it. You basically wanna let the fish keep having it's bursts of energy so that when it's on the bank it's easier to deal with it.

    great vid. I have been guessing how to fish with a method feeder + buzzer. I have been using it with a normal reel and normal drag, but hang a pair of sunglasses over the line closest to reel (as the official swingers get in the way). This means the fish can pull the glasses up and the buzzer goes off. I have also experimented with putting the real in free mode (you can reel backward and forward), to give the fish more line, but this hasnt made much difference. I see from this video I am doing it "wrong" as I should be instead putting the drag to very low. I see you also have a bobbin thing connected. This is the last mystery. If you have a baitmaster with two clutches, and a good electronic detector, why do you need this?

    ok got that thanks,. Can you explain how to play the fish using the backwind on the shimano reels please?

  • @scott-whuanderson4693

    @scott-whuanderson4693

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hopefully what I say makes sense. Once you have started playing the fish. If you feel the fish is fighting hard turn the clutch system to the left and it allows the fish to take line. You basically adjust the clutch systems appropriately depending on how much the fish is fighting. You don’t just wanna pull the fish out. try to ware the fish out 1st
