Great video. I choose to do the midi styles instead of the real tracks because the real tracks don't often recognize extentions that you type in. Even if you type a CMaj7#5 - the bassline is still going to use the root to perfect 5th movement. To get the midi tracks to sound more like real instruments - you can either just change the vsts. Though an easier way is to drag and drop the midi tracks into a VST instument in your DAW. The comping and basslines are so professional via midi tracks

Cool man. I'm gonna try playing with the realtracks like that rather than using the whole styles next time I fire up biab

Can Band in a Box export a midi file? The would enable DAWs with various high quality virtual instruments that many of us are all already familiar with (and very invested in) to use tracks composed in BiaB. This is may be even more the case for seasoned Mac users.

What makes BIAB great are the real tracks which are real jazz musician samples. Because they are a tual recordings they can only be exported as a wave file. I usually export them to Cubase and then record my guitar over it for my lessons. Each instrument can be exported at any tempo as a separate wave file if you want to remix everything in your DAW.
