Setting snaps

In this video I demonstrate how to set snaps into leather.
For this project you will need:
- a snap
- snap setter
- hammer (poly, wood, rubber or rawhide. Avoid metal hammers)
- hard surface
- a piece of leather with two holes punched in.
Enjoy the tutorial!

You're the first snap video I've seen that identified and named the parts before applying the parts. THANK YOU!

Hi Mark, I would like to make something like this for a personal birthday present, Do you have a video on how to measure and place snaps in the right places to fit a wrist, (so if someone measures their wrist and its 7" and 5 3/4" where would you place the centre of each snap ?) thx

What is the proper thickness of leather to use the snap of 10 mm and 15 mm? Is there different snaps in 1 size (10 mm) which can be used for leather with different thickness?

I would not recommend it. At least use a piece of leather under it or carve a sitter out of a piece of wood (you can also drill one). Mark
