Orcas Island has great trails as well. All that driftwood and trees are scary. They are brought down by the rivers when it rains heavy, which is a good reason not to travel at night. The San Juan Islands are known for those awful rocks that are hidden in the water. Thanks for visiting my state. I moved here 33 years ago from South Carolina in the month of August. The locals were complaining of a temp of 80 degrees. Now I am one of those wimps! 55 degrees has me wearing shorts and Keens!

Jetty's face had a big smile on it like to say, "finally we back home on a boat!" She is a real boat dog for sure! She seems happiest on the water!

What a Total Fun Kick. I sailed on the Moki Mak for 2 weeks and got my 101, 103, 104 and 114 certifications. Absolutely LOVED the San Juans. That water is so freaking cold though. We carried vests even in the dingy. Can't wait to see more of the journey ... jonesing for the next one.

Love the Pacific Northwest. Grew up on Whidbey Island and I’ve been landlocked for 27 years in Colorado. Coming out this summer to charter with San Juan Yacht Charters and going to charter their 52 Seahorse. Bringing out some great friends from Colorado to show them the San Juan Islands. Love this series 👍.

Jetty is quite the dog on the ocean. It's very, very hard to make bad Hawaiian pizza (my favorite). I haven't played pick-up sticks since the late 1960s. That boat is very nice.

These Seawinds are amazingly beautiful and sleek. Can't wait for your next video!

Jetty is an old girl, but still looks good. Never forget episode when she was in the water and Sara layed an egg. I know the panic..I also am a dog lover. Btw, congratulations on the new Kat!

That is one of the most spectacular areas in the world. I'd retire there, if I had the funds. I have very fond memories of that whole area, up the inside passage. All the little spots are amazing.

Welcome to the PNW, it my by sunny, but as long as you sit in the shade it will be cold. I spend six years of my life there. I was so happy to get back to Texas where it was much warmer.

Fond memories of sailing into Suchia at midnight many years ago, with my buddy’s Martin 29. Beautiful places abound in the San Juan’s.

I watch several KZreads, and you are one of my favorites….

At the 15 minute mark it looks like you were on ..Jupiter 2 🛸 as in lost in space. Well the windows reminded me of that. 🛸😳😎👍🍷🍷

It must have been nerve wracking to rent a boat. I know how paranoid I felt renting a car, and a boat is almost "normal" for things to break. Plus you are trusting equipment you don't know, that it will start and perform. But you have each other. Sierra, you are so practical and Billy, you can fix anything. That makes me happy for you guys. This was an enjoyable episode full of beautiful views. Thanks for sharing. Peace & Prayers out.

Pizza looks yummy. There was not much beach to be found on that beach, unless those were logs from a beach tree. Not likely hey.

I must say I thoroughly enjoy your guys’s content and so glad to of stumbled upon your channel just because I of some dinghy video searching . Since I live in the south Puget sound area, and just getting into sailing myself it has been so nice seeing your Truck camping series of you guys coming across and hitting the Oregon coast on up and seeing a lot of the sights I’ve seen and been to myself and places I haven’t also yet giving some future travel ideas. Puget sound has lots of really big floating logs too. They hurt almost as much as rocks. No matter, have fun.

The shoreline is always full of huge driftwood. Amazing! There is a crisp, unique fragrance to the air. It is expensive to live there, but an excellent place to visit.

Shoulda planned it so ya hit up here in the NW in summer! heh heh heh Stupid cold weather. When/if you guys pop over the Cascades on your way back East, I'd love to meet up with ya and buy ya lunch or something. Jetty could meet a new running buddy.

You guys need to go and checkout Leo in Port Townsend with the Sampson Boat Company KZread Channel. He's rebuilding a 110 year old sailing yacht from the ground up. They're located around the corner from the Blue Moose Cafe if you want to drop in. I gotta warn you though, bring your work clothes if you go because he'll put you all to work!

Sampson Boat Company and Sailing Magic Carpet are both in the Port Towsend area. If Billy & Sierra have a chance to met up with either it would probably making some interesting video bits for both channels.

What make is your new boat? Congrats to be back on the water. What did you do with the truck?

I would never. These are actually Dubarry sailing boots. The soles look dark but they are not black and non-marking

Curious I Remeber you asking if you should go with inboards or outboards on your new SEAWIND?

I like most of the comments on this video could hear the pure joy in your voices about getting back on the water.In regards to the negative comment that I read, no matter who you are or what you do there will always be haters, what a terrible attitude to have.
