Here's the deal with the option switches: Switch 1: on - will accept dollars. off - won't accept dollars. Switch 2: on - accepts US and canadian coins. off - US only Switch 3: on - stores 6 quarters for change. off - stores 69 quarters for change Switch 4: on -AC/High level pulse bill acceptor interface (9-pin connectors). off - Low level pulse (18-pin connectors) Switch 5: on - No escrow return allowed (no monies are returned and credit is held until a vend is completed). off - Escrow return allowed Switch 6: on - ETS (Escrow to Select) For cigarette venders or four-price venders (set to vend on one price only). Coin return can be requested at any time prior to making a selection, or if the selection is sold out. Use on TRC-6800's with CIGARETTE SWITCH installed. off - ETV (Escrow to Vend) For standard single price venders. Coin return can be requested at any time prior to reaching vend price.

If you only have 3 switches then you program the price through the machine not the coin changer

Our Coinco 9300 only has three pins. How do we change the price (to $2)?

Sounds like you have a 9300L. With that model you would change the price through the computer in the machine and not the coin mech. There should be instructions printed on the inner door of the machine

Is it possible to have a free vend with this coin mech, by adjusting those switches?

No, you cannot set it to free vend by adjusting the switches, the lowest you can set it to is 5 cents. There are free vend kits for some machines available online.

I only have three switches, how do I find out where on the machine?

This is for single price only, yours is not single price. Price settings would be through the machine, and they are machine specific. There are usually thorough instructions posted inside the machine.

Yes, what you are changing is the vend price, the bill validator just sends a credit to the coin changer
