Great video. Fantastic insight into a world class investor!

I love Klarman and he's clearly a very smart investor who shares Buffett's philosophy which is the only investment philosophy that will work in the long run. But he has underperformed benchmark indices for over 10 years now. This is quite shocking and I hope his investments will provide better returns in the years to come.

I think the last decade with it`s irrational growth has hit pretty much all of the value investors, but it`s a temporary thing. It`s unlikely that the market will be able to stay at the current overvaluation levels

Hey! Can you make a video on how to invest 1 million dollar? 30 Billion is damn big, pretty impossible for the majority. I think if someone works really hard in 10 years then the average money he might earn is between 500,000 and 1 million dollar. That amount of money is big enough to live comfortably in cheaper countries outside US and Western Europe.

Is there a margin of safety top 5 take away? Or is this kind of it?

Too many people now know about fear and greed, and so some of those profits have been arbitraged away. Also, opportunities are now available to more people as asset classes are more widely available, so those excess profits have been arbitraged away. There are still opportunities to beat the market, and Buffet and Klarman e.g. were able to get assets during the2009 great recession that were not publicly available,due to their stature and wherewithal. Having money to purchase distressed assets is another advantage that rich people will have, since others may be losing their jobs or security during that time.. The above gold coins are not as shiny as they used to be for Buffet and Klarman, however they still work to some extent.

Actually, Beta does makes the user realize that they could get a stocks at a better price because the higher the Beta,the higher the discount rate thus the lower the intrinsic value,it tells the user that they should get a stocks at a lower price because of the lower intrinsic value

Klarman doesnt use beta to calculate his discount rate though. He does it the same way of warren buffett

Yea, someone has created an account with the same name and used the same logo as me (I'm surprised that is even possible). When it really is my account answering the comments, it can be seen as it will say something like "view X replies from The Swedish Investor and others"
