    Wow. Small space content creator here, and I was legit one minute away from splurging on a c-stand kit. This is a godsend, thank you so much!!!

    haha! Yeah, it sounds like we both are working in small spaces. The overhead grid is perfect for clearing up floor space. I do have a set of c-stands, but mostly use them for client work and shoots at the studio.

    Same. I think there is one other KZreadr that has a video up. That one touches on the same ground. I am surprised the idea hasn't caught on more. A case of working smarter, not harder. Also economical. C-stands are expensive!

    Yes!! You can absolutely use soft box lights on it. I’ve added soft boxes to most of my lights. Getting all of your lights off the ground and clearing space for other stuff when filming is so nice! Good luck

    Great job and thank you for the ideas. I work at Adobe on Premiere (support!) and am looking for a little home studio setup. I think that everything looks amazing. I know the style is no Fill these days, but I would prefer a small amount of fill to model out the face. Although with my face....LOL. Maybe a strategically placed white card could do it. You could fly it off your pole with a mafer clamp and a gobo arm, maybe?

  • @chadwin

    @chadwin

    Mission Creek Style hey! That’s awesome. You probably know so much about Premiere, you could make some incredible tutorials, or whatever you wanna do. Yes, you can definitely hang another light or a bounce card for the fill side of the face. I hang all different things from my auto pole just depending on what I need for the shot.

    I'm really hooked on this setup but I'm wondering what payload do you feel comfortable loading this rig with? I mean for leaving it set so others than me can safely visit my studio without me? Btw, awesome channel and great work you're putting out!

  • @chadwin

    @chadwin

    Oskar Karlsson yeah, hanging your lights and getting rid of all the stands everywhere is definitely the way to go!! Don’t quote me, but I saw somewhere that the autopole would hold around 70lbs. I have about 25lbs on mine and it does totally fine!

    Fantastic video. I think I just found your practical table light. I needed a soft background light and yours is perfect. IKEA has a Fado table light in gray that looks just like it. I apologize if I’m crossing any boundaries but may I ask what bulb you used in yours? Thank you!

  • @chadwin

    haha that's funny! IKEA stuff is always so easy to spot cause so many people buy their stuff. It's a great little light. I'm using a"vintage" LED light that I think I also bought from IKEA. It's a warm light around 3000 kelvin.

    Thank you, Chadwin! I'm all about whatever it takes to accomplish the goal. My wife is still reeling over the videographer's dream of a beastie PC I just built. Saving hobby money goes a long way in starting a new life chapter. I didn't see the bulb on IKEA but I'm sure it's not hard to find. Your'e a stand-up guy, Chadwin! I always pass things forward, and count on me if you need anything.
