I'm learning this yesterday/today. Coming from a LONG 40 year narc abuse, I'm approaching life cautiously. Offering a ride to someone, I planned my afternoon around her requests, I called 15 minutes late, she was eating her "take out" I would have to wait! She failed to forget who was driving the car needed to get to the dang store. So now she has spread I'm a bitch because I wouldn't let her eat. I did tell her to finish and I would wait. STILL being nice, nope, after waiting since noon time, she wasted my day. There's more, that was three strikes, you're out. The other two were time issues, but did not involve my car or my driving. You can only help those who will accept friendship AS HELP. Strike 2 as a single senior for 18 months. I am not liking it, not happy and it's a really lonely place after narcissistic isolation is completed. I hope I find more hope out there soon...... The ocean is calling in Florida, just need a small beach front home.......

Good job, you didn't let her used you. it made her crazy because now she knows you respect yourself enough to set boundaries. Take care of yourself and one day you will meet your people, the ones who really care, who will be happy to help and receive your help. The ones who will sherish your friendships.

9:50 Spot on! My parents are refugees from the Vietnam War; they grew up there during the war. In fact, my mom's house got blown up. Anyways, they came to America and had a family. When I graduated high school, I was going to join the military since I needed direction in my life and didn't know where to go. My parents were against it. Instead, I went to college the way they wanted me to, but the whole time I thought about the military. I graduated during the housing market crash and couldn't find a job, so I ended up joining anyways. Most of my family were unsupportive. I had to leave due to medical reasons less than a year later, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. Not only will a NOT spend my life wondering "what if", had I not have that experience, I wouldn't have gone back to school to become a Physical Therapist Assistant.

I want to point out when Lisa read out the comment about not wanting to have kids I don't think people realise telling someone to have kids it's not your choice if they have them. People will say have kids but won't help with raising the children. If you don't want kids feel no shame about this because it's your life you have autonomy over it not others.

Being raised Greek this really hit home. Never fit in, since I was adopted. And the Greeks made sure they reminded me I was not biological Greek. But then, boundaries are needed. Sad but true. So I walked away from my growing up. Lost. Thought I could talk to Greek people from my past, but do not want anything to do with their life style. Good and bad every where. Hermit now because of lies. Sad. I do like to hear from both of you because my Mom was straight from Greece. I took it too far and believed Greeks that where crossing boundaries because I gave them too much respect. All the time ,. They where laughing at me. I made the mistake of not seeing the signs because my mind was on how they were, not how they changed. Eyes open now

But if I see I'm just being distracted from achieving my goals, then the guest should leave asap 😂 2) Understanding that it's not my job to convince people about my life's choices & that I'm the only one who's responsible about my future. 3) Distancing emotions from thoughts to see clearly & logically. I also want to say thank you. Thank you Lisa & Evy for sharing with us your valuable knowledge & experiences I really enjoyed watching the episodes & I truly hope I meet you someday. I wanted to share that my sister and I both found Evy in different ways and had purchased her “Bulletproof “ book but until recently started talking about life and what has helped, both of us were so happy to be on the same journey with Evy’s book. I am always outspoken and lead in whatever job I am given, while my sister is soft spoken and goes with the group kinda person. We are both strong individuals but found ourselves growing stronger with this channel and Evy’s book. Thank you for sharing your love and guidance.

Thank you so much ladies. Really love the surf lesson, to focus on where you you want to go. If you think about where you don’t want to go “the rocks you are trying to avoid “ that’s where you start heading towards. In life set goals and focus on that, be aware of obstacles and keep heading towards your goal… am really grateful I made the time to listen to this. Thank you so much 😊

I AM UNSTOPPABLE. I appreciate watching this video and being a subscriber to your channel. So much of what you shared in this video truly resonates with me and how I was raised in my home with both parents being Greek. I am first generation Greek and the challenges I faced growing up with my parents coming from a small village mentality in their homeland their very idealistic views and plans they had for my life have turned out to be the complete opposite. It was not easy growing up and trying to fit into this image or identity. Not because I was defiant or rebellious towards them but because I had to speak up and stand my ground to help them eventually understand I had to live, learn and lead my own life. I appreciate the takeaways you shared in the video and your life’s profound journeys and how you overcame adversity. Efhoume na ta poume prosopika tha eine n xara mou! Kaln Eutixia! 💐

I AM UNSTOPPABLE!!! This episode made me rethink a lot of my fears and how they were based on how other people would think of me or if they were going to like me or not. Now I can see more clearly, go pursue my dreams a lot more confiden and I can prioritize myself more. Even though people may get disapointed with me, it's not easy but I can work to be okay with it.

I am unstoppable because I am trying to be better every day. Some days I can barely make it out of bed, but I love listening to both of you because you are both so genuine. Even though I am not Greek, I am Mexican American, I identify with your family pressure and the conversation you need to have with yourself to do the right things, even when no one else approves.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE. These videos with Lisa and Evy have helped me come so far this year already. Evy your book has helped me trust the right people too. I will be purchasing yours too soon Lisa! I'm so grateful for both your knowledge and motivation shared to all. My favourite part of this video was talking about focus. How focussing in on the rocks lead to crashing or focussing on others' perception of you lead to you not quite achieving what you think is your best. Yet how the guy looking for work offered to work for free to get paid work he needed. You both came from hard upbringings and had doubts yet you kept pushing and have achieved so much. Inspirational as all hell. All about the right focus, self-belief and determination.

I AM UNSTOPPABLE! Such a great video! I loved many parts of this. Evy on her surfboard in the ocean going toward the rocks - it's so true, we go where we focus. Also, "I can't quit now, I've got a whole list of MFs to prove wrong!". And "Who is this person and why should I listen to them?" There was so much GOLD in this episode! I really struggle with letting other people's judgement & words take over my mind. I have to learn to block it out and stop letting it affect me so much. Also Evy - your Dad sounds like an amazing person. The story about not letting others victimize us is true - we don't have to let others affect us so much, that is the part we get to control. Thank you so much for this series! ❤

I am UNSTOPPABLE 🙌 The inspiring courage I get from these two is incredible! I took away so many but I think the main was to listen to my inner voice, and shut out people’s opinions and question how and why I should even consider it. At the end of the day you follow your gut and your dream and you see it through 💪🏼 regardless of everybody else, if your not doing any harm, you do it.

This really hit me home, I come from a middle eastern immigrant family and growing up I felt pressured by my parents to conform to their own ways and culture. After I moved out at a young age which is unusual for girls like me from that culture but I learnt a lot to be independent on my own and choose what’s best for me
