There are two ways to set a ringtone on your Android phone: using a pre-installed ringtone or setting a custom ringtone.
*Using a Pre-Installed ringtone:*
1. Open *Settings* on your Redmi 12.
2. Tap on **Sound & vibration**.
3. Tap on **Ringtone**.
4. You'll see a list of pre-installed ringtones on your phone. Choose the one you want to use and it will be automatically applied.
*Setting a Custom Ringtone:*
1. Make sure your custom ringtone (music or audio file) is saved on your phone. You can transfer it from your computer or download it from the internet.
2. Open *Settings* on your Redmi 12.
3. Tap on **Sound & vibration**.
4. Tap on **Ringtone**.
5. Tap on *Choose local ringtone* ( wording might differ slightly based on your Redmi model). This might be under a menu named "More ringtones" or similar.
6. Use your file manager to locate your custom ringtone on your phone.
7. Tap on the ringtone file to select it.
8. Tap *OK* to apply the custom ringtone.
