Setúbal, southern city! Sun, sea and sand! Moscatel wine, Cake/ torta de Azeitão, cheese/queijo de Azeitão, bread/pão alentejano, etc delicacies! Beautiful beachs, bay and Park of Arrábida!Dolphins! Portugal ' s south in his best!

Glad you enjoyed this place. We absolutely love the tiles here. The mist gives it an amazing atmosphere too. I can imagine the soldiers standing there 500 years ago staring through the mist looking for incoming ships! 😊 Thanks for watching 🙏😊 ~ Lee

Wow! This place is spectacular! That blue and white tile was freaking beautiful! We loved our stay in a Posada in Faro last December, this one so beautiful as well. So much still for us to see in Portugal. Thank you so much for this tour. Such a beautiful video. Love you guys, Debbie & Stijn

Pauli, here in Setubal now. It's really growing on me, having a hard time deciding whether to go back to Lisbon for the next few days before heading north to Porto, or staying a few more days in Setubal. As usual I watched your videos again and again for inspiration, ideas, and very useful information! I admire you both so much 🥰

We first heard it in Caldas da Rainha at 1pm, then in Óbidos at 12noon. Certain cities/towns have the siren, others don't, and we're not sure why that is. I'm hoping a Portuguese viewer will be able to explain 😃😁 ~ Mandy

It’s great to go there walking, I’ve never seen it with the mist, it’s also interesting to see it this way. I love how Lee had the power to clear the mist 🌫 😍.

Yes it really is a wonderful place to go in the afternoon once the morning mist has cleared. Then you can be up there in time for a sundowner with that amazing view! 😁🍷 This must be the best spot in Setúbal. 😊 ~ Lee

There´s this famous restaurant in Setúbal, its been years since been last, a bit expensive when compared to some others but well worth the visit, its called "Retiro da Algodeia", also it might be worthwhile visiting the somewhat nearby place of Carrasqueira (high tide) and also the Troia sandy Sado river peninsula.

What an amazing sight with all the mist in the air. It’s like you above the clouds. The shape of the building is also interesting. It would be very cool to fly a drone there with everything going on.

That is so lovely of her! We've noticed a few times in Portugal that locals ensure that street cats are fed. One of these was a cliff cat in the Algarve! ~ Mandy

Thank you so much. 👍 On so many occasions I've been disappointed with my dolphin photos whilst on these kind of sea safaris. They must be one of the hardest creatures to capture because they won't keep still. 🤣🤣. I usually get the tip of a fin peeking up from behind a wave from far, far away. I could do with investing in a better camera. 😂 ~ Lee

Hi there. Thanks for your kind words and really glad we are helping to inspire you. Portugal is marvelous and we're sure you'll have no regrets once you get here. It's always a bit daunting to take the plunge and Jack it all in but we can seriously say after doing the same after 4 years on the road that we have no regrets. We were fortunate that because we arrived here before 31 Dec 2020 we were able to apply for residency under the Brexit withdrawal agreement. There are other ways of getting residency though. We wish you all the best with your plans. 👍 ~ Lee

Thank you for the amazing video. I have to go back to Forte de São Filipe (I think I only went there many years ago). If you are still in Setúbal, I stongly advice you to visit Convento de Jesus, that was the first manueline monument built in Portugal in the XV century with Arrabida rocks (brecha da Arrábida).

@@FrugalTravellers I think you can visit the convent church for free. The convent was opened to public visit last year in 2020, after a long working period.

Hi guys hope you are well. We really enjoy watching your portugal video's and noticed in a porto video you mentioned about residency in portugal. How would you guys go about that post brexit? Or do you already have a 5 years residency certificate issued pre brexit. Sorry if that's intrusive. Before brexit and the obvious devastating pandemic we were considering a move to portugal but it seems next to impossible now as brits. Keep up the good work guys.

Hello Craig. Thank you for your kind words and your question. We've applied for residency under the Brexit Withdrawal Agreement, and are still waiting to have that approved. There are many different visa options, with the easiest being the D7. We belong to a few Facebook groups and find the British Expats in Portugal group to have some excellent resources, with knowledgeable folk who are happy to share information. Portugal is a wonderful country and we can totally understand why you'd be thinking of moving here! 😃😁🇵🇹~ Mandy
