Diesel engines deliver and are found all over the world in many different kinds of vehicles. Trucks, cars, boats, mowers, the list goes on and on. They are high torque, hard working engines that are built and designed to be under a load for long amounts of time. It is not uncommon for a smaller diesel engine to go double the miles of a gas engine. It's not uncommon for a larger, over the road truck diesel engine to have over 800,000 to 1 million miles before a rebuild. Cummins big cam and N14, Detroit 60 series and CAT C15 were million mile engines. Now, since the government had to step in and "help", modern engines have many more issues at much lower mileage. It doesn't matter if it's big or small, new or old, diesel engines more this world.
