Thanks for sharing this video! Didn't see a return trip video. You mentioned the auger shaft needed to be replaced, any idea what was wrong with it?

The torsion spring on the inside of the shaft gets damaged.

This is just a temporary fix , a maintenance kit is needed

What is the other number that scrolls in after the temperature of the drum? And what should those numbers read while trying to freeze?

Sounds like the hot gas temp. Barrel temp should get to high 20’s. Torque is big #. Should be 5 or less with no product or liquid product. Upper case ice letters mean it’s calling for refrigeration. Lower case means it’s at desired temp. Hope that helps

@@FishPornTV Do you know what the hot gas temp should read? I have a machine that is taking a very long time to freeze up on both sides, inside of machine is spotless, pins on shaft are clean, torque sensor board clean and aligned, I just don't think the drums are getting cold enough, quick enough?

@@jpweaver44 how does the air filter and condenser look. A dust blanket will cause issues.

@FishPornTV it looks good, Could I possibly be low on refrigerant without have a leak somewhere?

My Bunn machine left side auger works fine, however my right auger is always on "ice" and it doesn't even get cold. Why could this be?

Probably the auger shaft. It gets notched and the lazer eye can’t read the gap between the pins. And/or one of the pins has been sheared off. Take off the back cover and look to see if there are two pins one at the motor, the other at the shaft. Also there is a diagnostic screen that will tell you a lot.

@@FishPornTV so I found out both pins sheared off…went down to ace hardware and got 2 new replacement pins and put them in. It cleared the codes but still isn’t cooling. Any idea what it might be? Could it still be the shaft needs replaced? Refrigerant? Solenoid?

@@vaiplayforkeeps shaft is damaged. Torsion spring inside shaft is toast. Swap it, you should be good. Are both sides not cooling? Check for magnetic field above refrig solenoid they’re usually fine. But if there was enough pressure to break those pins then the shaft is damaged. Very common.

@@FishPornTV thank you! Is the shaft part # BUNN 28081.0001 ? Just want to make sure before ordering it. Gonna get it on order today Ithe torque is reading high on one but the other is 0. Swapped shafts and the torque values followed. 120 volts present at solenoids. Compressor and fan running normal. Solenoid ohms test was good. Can’t remember what the actual value was
