Elmeco slush machines are great slush makers but man fo they run hot. They need all the ventilation they can get. Keep a small fan on the side near the vented panel. It will make a world of difference! Happy slushing 😉

If you have a Multimeter you can check microfarads of a capacitor. Thermal compressor shutoffs should not be bypassed for too long but I can tell you're aware of that. Great ingenuity in troubleshooting. Short cycling of a compressor could also be caused by low refrigerant charge but usually you would see evidence of a leak on a self contained unit like that.

There is also a reset button underneath the unit towards the back.
