He is great. Tho lately he has been adapting shenanigans from Dark's playstyle. This make him even more of a beast to oppose. Such a great player!

Incredible how Serral is able to control infestors, vipers and queens at the same time

I really like how Serral infused a bit of Dark's crazy style into his gameplay. This makes Serral a beast to deal with.

Yeah, if Serral had one weakness it was that he was predictable. He was the best and he knew he was the best. -> He did not need to take risks. However, that resulted in the others being able to cut corners. Today, Serral is not "too cheap" to make a 2 base roach all in. That makes him even stronger and as a byproduct it makes his games more exciting for the viewer too.

Amazing casting, glad I found your channel. Also, what a joy to watch Serral and Reynor obliterate all top Terrans constantly in every single tournament. I am just sad about the Zerg players that will end up playing with an abysmally weak race because it will continue to get nerfed until the inferior Terran players are able to beat Serral and Reynor, which is not going to happen until the race is unplayable for everyone else.

I would not call the Terran players inferior, that sound negative. It's just that Serral is too good, he is the GOAT, by a wide margin. I agree with you, that there is a problem if you nerf a race because one player is too good. After all, if a game is perfectly balanced, who wins? The best player of course. And who SHOULD win? Again, the best player, no? If you have 1 player that is above all other and you nerf his race to a point where he doesn't win a lot any longer - then your game is NOT balanced. If the best player does NOT win often, you did something wrong. I agree that Protoss should get a buff - that drones can't be killed as easily by banelings e.g. That's totally fine, because Toss gets dominated not only by Serral but loose against a lot of other Zerg - and Terran! - as well. But you should NOT buff Terrans vs Zerg, because Terran vs Zerg is perfectly balanced. Sometimes Terrans win, sometimes Zerg win. Well, except if Serral plays. Then Serral wins against Terrans (if the Terran is not Clem) most of the time. But that is because Serral is imba. Not Zerg.

@@wedgeantilles8575 Cure needs the late game skills of maru and vice versa, cure is immaculate until late mid-game then never gets ghosts since not comfortable with em, then the late game armies get out of control.

You mean the same way terran has been balanced around Maru? Except what Maru does cant be repeated by any other terran while Dark, Sarrel, Reynor, Solar and Rogue once he is out can do the exact same thing. The only difference is maru been a title winner since wol, while non of these "top" zergs have a single tournament victory before lotv. Almost as if they are better then average players carried by their race.

Glad I'm not the only sc2 fan/hockey fan.

Serral using Blinding Cloud on the Thors to mitigate the damage to the Brood Lords is why he is The GOAT! THE GOAT!

game 2 is a masterclass vs mech, game 3 is a master piece vs bio o_O this Serral is the best sc2 player of all time, no way.

Funny, when Clem beats him it's just "ghost OP", when Serral beats 5 Terrans or so in a row, he's just the best, nothing wrong with Zerg obviously

​@@geuroslook at any of the battle reports in the mech game and tell me serral does not massively overperform cure both in terms of spells and abilities used in any of the engagements? Just in the one of them theres like 40 spells cast for zerg and 0 for terran.

@@christoffertoftpersson895 that's the thing, Zerg spellcasters are way too good. You hit one great fungal and it's GG. Hitting an amazing EMP means you have a chance to not lose the fight.

@@geuros Hitting emp means the one win con that Zerg has is gone. Hitting Fungal neutralizes the win con for Terran. Serral has demonstrated an amazing adaptation to the emp by sacrificing one Infestor to emp the ghosts. In response Maru has begun splitting his ghosts. It is a continual back and forth. The issue is for the lower level players who can not compete at this level. Also ravens literally never get used, when they have a slew of super good abilities, and you can try and argue neural, but at this level you should be able to micro you raven outside of neural range as it literally can detect. As a Terran lover, it hurts to see my ghost bois die, but I also know that using them as the ONLY spell caster when you have another with Ant- armour and detection for infestors is kinda killy.

That's a good question. The spore cancel is a trick that Zerg players can use to overmax on supply. So in this case, Serral was already at 200/200 supply, but by starting three spore crawlers, and then building units to fill up the supply and cancelling the spore crawlers afterwards, he goes to 203/200 supply. It used to be very common as Zerg, but it's sometimes not worth it. In this case, it was a great way to get 2 extra Brood Lords

Cure's upgrade is so slow. I remember when he got beat by lambo. His attack upgrade is level 1 and it's 12 minutes into the game

hellions should have a gas cost -- cars that drive around shooting flaming fuel are the only source of splash damage in the game that doesnt cost gas. Stupid.

We had a massive decline of people watching Starcraft 2 when Serral beat everyone. Now 5 years later it's going to happen again. In 2019 we had new blood such as Reynor and Clem that brought back the excitement. However in 2023 there has been no real new blood to this old game. I'm ready to bail because of it. Don't get me wrong Serral is a great player however when no one can really challenge him, then normies will leave. Like they did back in 2018.

blame that on the other players... their standards dropped, but not Serral.... Serral is never complacent, he didnt rest on his previous achievements... instead, he kept on improving, learning and adapting all the time.... his dedication to the game is something that any sc2 fan should applaud, not shy away from....

@@hampehwakenabeb7773 clem is the only terran fast enough to challenge serral's style, Cure just doesn't have the late game mind set to take on serral's lategame. reynor in championship mode is arguably even more dominant than serral is, Gamer's 8 had the highest level of play of the year and Reynor went on a similar wrecking ball run with only dropping a bo3 series to classic.

Not much about serral, almost a year of same maps,meta and playerpool, only so many times you can watch virtually identical games over and over, Meta shifted slightly with 2rax reaper and 15hatch, but needs more,

In my opinion you're wrong: Serral games easily get the highest viewer count every single tournament, a foreigner having good chances winning the tournaments he enters is actually rather keeping the scene alive than killing it.
