Serpentine belt tensioner pulley removal & installation (2001-2004 Ford Escape)

Removal and installation of the serpentine belt tensioner pulley. Although the tensioner itself is properly functioning, the pulley can fail due to worn bearings. The pulley will vibrate, make a rubbing/grinding noise and/or squeal. This procedure applies to 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 Ford Escapes, Mazda Tributes and Mercury Mariners.

Another excellent video in which you do everything right: every detail covered, perfect lighting and image clarity, explanation of techniques, bolt sizes, belt routing diagram (with pulley labels), even advising the viewer to check belt alignment on each pulley.

Glad the vids help, Sam. I have a 2006 Escape I drive (the 2004 in the vids is my "guineapig" with a blown engine I use for videos). I, too, want to keep it going as long as possible. I know quite a few people that had the earlier models that went beyond 300,000 miles! Thanks for watching!
