Serpentine Belt Dressing Conditioner Spray
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
So this is more like a review of a product, Sad to say it sounded promising and a cheap easy solution to my problem but ended up not doing anything. More like a waste of money. Here is my take on it, enjoy and thanks for watching.

Permatex product not for use on serpentine belt. CRC in my experience is the best but each squeaky belt situation is different so do your homework first. If your belt is cracked change it. Make sure the squeak is not a bad bearing or some flaw in the pulleys. In my case it was a chirp every time I started my Yaris. Tightening the belt did not solve it completely and I didn't want to over tighten. Use CRC Belt Dressing but very sparingly a few short bursts only. See how that works out over a few days then if you need to do more go ahead but very sparingly. What this person did spraying it on like paint not the way to go with any of these products on a car.
There is a warning on the botle "Do not use it on Serpentine Belt". You cannot review a product on a usage which it is suposed to be used for. This is for "V" belts only. For that gunk, use an engine degreaser and it will clean right off.

Wow thanks for the video I was just about to buy a can and put it on my belt but I don't think I will anymore lol
Aren’t you supposed to use when you put on a new belt so this exact problem doesn’t happen sooner?

I’m not sure. I thought the idea of it was to condition the belt but that just made a huge mess and then others on here are telling me it’s not made for the belt so I’m unsure altogether. I Rather just stay away from it at this point, but you could be right.
Hey man I bought the same junk didn't read it sprayed it on my belt it. Later that day I saw online not to use that brand on a serpentine belt... Fml my belt wasn't even making a sound hows it going so far with it's. Idk if this junk is going to eat my belt away or what ughh

Yeah. I did the same too, bought it and used it before I even read up on it. But I ended up switching the belt to a new one. Although the spray did leave my engine all messy and dirty and it seems to be permanent now

WD40 and a shop rag will get that crap off. I had to use it on an alternator and power steering pump the previous owner of the vehicle used belt dressing on. It took about a half hour of spraying the rag and continuous wiping, but that nasty crap did all come off completely. You could also use those colored towels sold by Walmart which would probably work even better than shop rags.
I used this and actually made it worse.
Permatex Belt Dressing & Conditioner. TYPICAL APPLICATIONS • V-belts or flat belts of rubber, leather or fabric • Automotive • Farm equipment • Industrial belt drives Note: Not recommended for use on serpentine belts
Looks like user error, you sprayed too much and didn't wipe off the excess lubricant so it clumped up little dirt balls
1. Remove Belt 2. Pour ARMOR ALL - into small container, one large enough to hold the folded-up belt. 3. SOAK said belt, in solution OVER NIGHT 4. Install belt on engine. 5. N O more noise. Maybe, use a wire brush - or sawed off end of one - on a stick - CLEAN all V pulleys' on engine of G U N K. n ( BE creative - in finding out solutions....)
