You haven't seen Episode 11. That was absolutely hilarious for all the wrong reasons with 11 minutes or so worth of guitar music, surrealist imagery, and no dialogue.

I want to make an anime that has scientific montage with cool visual effects and techno music every episode. Each episode presents information people ought to know, in a very appealing way. And it all fits into the story. Serial experiments lain is a huge inspiration

idk i like the weirdness/creepyness of lain more, which also ended up in digimon tamers of all things(though not the foxkids dub), because it's the same director.

I've never seen an anime at all that goes this kind of direction. Using educational almost conspiratorial, COAST TO COAST George Noory programming. Bizarre! That's why I love this damn show!

I made a dnd game based around these tapes! Its been a blast developing a story and learning about the historical figures mentioned in them!

@@theskykeeper8476 It's going great, we used the "Technomancer's Textbook" as additional rules for the cyberpunk setting.

The song is called "MAJIXX" or "MJ-XX." I think it's part of the BOOTLEG releases. Extremely cool track that works well on a loop. MAJIC/MAJIXX and MJ-12 were supposedly codenames for U.S. Government research projects into UFO's, extraterrestrial technology and information control. "MAJESTIC" is another that's associated with them. It fits Lain's themes _very_ well. That show was ahead of its time.

MAJIXX 12 hence the name because all these events were started by Crowley Magik's system. There were already signed of all of this since Admiral Byrd and his affair in New Swabia, that's where the top SS escaped with Vril-Ya, Maria Orsic etc

This is the coolest thing ever. If you know what Monument Mythos is, it has incredibly similar vibes to this.
