it's wonderful to be able to observe his technique from this almost point of view perspective, and of course the beautiful playing goes without saying!
the secret with pianists with a good technique and sound and great musicality is that they can play on any piano and make a good result. what a sound here....

Actually Tokai pianos were very fine quality instruments built in Hamamatsu, Japan. How they are maintained by their owners, is another story. But they are certainly not cheap uprights... But most importantly, thank you for sharing this amazing video!!!
Sergio Fiorentino, he didn´t play many recitals in Germany. How nice the Bach-transcription, I like the choral in the tenor voice contrary to Wilhelm Kempff´s version. Wonderful hands, what a pity, that i have never heard him live!

@berlinzerberus at berlin i dont think, but in various minor cities. (Soest,Kamen,Husum,and many others, some of this german recitals are also on the tube)Fiorentino was one of the greatest pianist of the century, but for several reasons has not had in his life the success he deserved . in my channel you can find many rare and unpublished recordings of this great artist.

Oh yes, the Siemensvilla, I also gave a few piano recitals there in the 90´s. Brendel, Fischer-Dieskau and Barenboim used to record their discs at the same place, a nice little concert hall with exemplary acoustics. But sorr,y I didn´t notice any concert of Sergio Fiorentino. Apparently he was a great pianist! :-)

Really? I didnt know anything about Sergio Fiorentino! You know, i was an ardent admirer of ABW and joined him almost wherever he played in Europe. I must say that i didn´t notice anything about any Fiorentino concerts in Berlin during 1993-97! As far as i can remember, he probably didnt play in Berlino during this time, or did he?

@@fabio0077 No, è la trascrizione di Sergio Fiorentino, che differisce da quella di Myra Hess. La può trovare edita da Edizioni Curci, nel volume dedicato alle trascrizioni del Maestro.

io la riesco a suonare con il flauto ma è molto difficile

Non vorrei correggerla, non se il Maestro Fiorentino abbia fatto trascrizioni di questo meraviglioso brano, ma sono quasi sicuro che questa trascrizione sia di Myra Hess. In ogni caso Fiorentino la suona divinamente... Senza pari..

Non è la trascrizione della Hess, è una trascrizione dello stesso Fiorentino pubblicata da Edizioni Curci...
