The 2022 US Open runs from August 23 - September 11 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. It all came down to that second game in the third set. She had 40-15 for a 2-0 lead. Once she lost that game, it all basically went away in a hurry.

@@RobbieStacks90 it was extremely impressive. Only one player on the WTA has more points from the last 12 months. Meanwhile Serena had played 4 matches in 16 months going into this one.

Match of the year, for me. Kontaveit bagelled her round 1 opponent and was playing top 20 tennis. Serena, on the other hand, was ranked in the 600s and didn’t blink. Wow.
