Then it would be fair. You heard the commentator said it himself, the " Number one player in the world " against a bunch of bench warming USA players. The type of dudes that struggle to make it on an NBA team. That is quite the difference in skill level. If USA were to have their best on the court as well, Serbia would never in a million years beat them.

so many comments are just confused with what they're looking at. leave your hypotheticals and imaginary lineups at home and appreciate what you saw. these guys are the best at what they do. they signed up, they went to the tourney, and they all played their hearts out. congratulations to both teams for working hard and making the finals. congrats to the Serbian team on that great win. they didn't lose composure during the mid-game and iced that game like pros.

Bro, stats are stats, this is the game.. It's just stupid comparing them with NBA stars like most do here, and all street ballers from entire USA who would smash them easy as all you said. There are better individuals and teams for sure, but if they wan't, they can also play you know, I'm not preventing them.. And I'm saying again, if they aren't that good as you said, they wouldn't dominate in their teams on world stage of 3x3 tournaments and WC as well. Yes, they are also losing from time to time, nobody's perfect.. But put the stats to side, give them some respect for what they achived, as I give to all others too.

Biased officiating. Every time the US team would try to dribble a miss back out the Serbian players were fouling. Diving into someones legs is a foul. Pushing someone out of bounds is a foul. Climbing on their back or grabbing them as they dribble past you is a foul. Yes, you want to play tough D. But if the ref isn't capable of doing their job it becomes wrestling match and the Serbian team are better wrestlers, just not better basketball players.

rdmcabee The refs purposely let it be more physical means a smoother game, less stop start like in normal 5v5. Plus fundamentally Serbians are way ahead of the USA, like it say teamwork wins everytime.

I'm sorry, mugging people when they try to dribble out after pulling down a rebound is a foul. The serbs got away with it all game and it was the actual difference. Sure they can make a few back cut passes over a defender who isn't looking, but they clearly weren't the better team and it was repeated fouling which gave them the win.

@@rdmcabee It was fair officiating both sides were at it not just Serbia. USA gave away silly fouls towards the end and Serbia hustle for second chance baskets was what won it. And passing and cutting is literally great teamwork so how you can say USA are the better team is beyond me, it's always 1v1. And like I said originally it's designed to be fast and flowing not stop start, so physical play is part of it, get used to it. The best TEAMS usually win and it was no different here.

I think you can beautifully see the difference between european and american ball. It seems like european share the ball more and try to create open areas for an easy set shot whilst the american guys drive a lot and take crazy difficult shots. They also missed a lot of freethrows. There is a huge difference between the same sports. American Basketball is here to entertain, to embarass the opponent 1 by 1 with crazy dunks, 3-Point shots into the opponents face, etc. European Basketball is a team sports, you share the ball, get your teammates in good positions, a lot of pass and cut plays for easy layups. It's nice to see that this kind of basketball can beat the american way. I mean take a look at the nba, Luka Doncic is cooking the whole league. Fundamentals combined with some entertaining moves, best thing that can happen to a Baller.

There's no point. If the USA can not send their best, due to how their schedules work, then it's pointless. Serbia is sending their best players to this tournament while the USA has a bunch of scrubs that hardly ever see any real game time in the NBA. If this tournament occurred during the NBA's off season, then you might end up seeing some top NBA stars participate. Then everyone other country will be crying foul when other teams, including Serbia, end up getting destroyed lol.

@@zuloom McKinnie is trash lol. He is a player they picked up for cheap that is a deep reserve. Every team has a handful of those guys & he is one of them for the Warriors. Considering that the Warriors had one of the smallest rosters this season, he saw more minutes than a player of his caliber would normally see. He even has a few starts which is laughable in its own way. The vast amount of team injuries helped to increase his minutes on the floor as well. Even with that, most of his minutes have come during garbage time.

Didn’t even know there was a 3 on 3 half court event. Gg to Serbia, those men are something else

Niko od NBA igraca ne uzima steroide.Ljudi imaju po 2 ili 3 treninga dnevno svaki dan,365 dana u godini.Mi mozemo samo da nalazimo nove izgovore, ali istina je jedna a to je da je americki kosarkaski program svetlosnim godinama udaljen od naseg.

That game was Golden. the matchup between two teams was great!

Serbia won by shooting well outside the line, great team and defesinve skills

Team USA lost the spirit by being too confident. They have skills but not team work. Team Serbia was playing with total focus all the game, they were impressive with the passes, they dominated the defense as well.

Los jugadores estadounidenses, siendo atlética y técnicamente superiores, no se tomaron nunca el juego en serio, sin ninguna estrategia en sus jugadas y sin disciplina. the game doesnt look flashy but the serbs hv such great understanding of spacing. just watch they move without the ball every time the ball leaves the hands of a player and they always look a step ahead

We are good in this because we are all raised on the streets playing this, ones who doesnt secuess they are outside of law, but still playing this game.

Are you stupid? The USA has 7 FIBA Americas gold medals, and also 20 gold medals in FIBA/Olympic. The only reason they don’t have more than 7 FIBA Americas, is because they win Olympic and FIBA gold so often so they have no reason to play FIBA Americas. 🥇27>13

There is, however unlike regular basketball, I believe it's only called if there is a significant movement with the ball. Definately not as strict tho.

This US Squad had NO HUSTLE! At one point, I watched as the shot went up from Surbia, and one of the U.S. players hung out on the wing, waiting for it while leaving the rebound to chance. I saw enough backdoor cuts here to make me dizzy and U.S. just KEPT falling for it
