Chris, Your Avatar is Uber cool! If I'm not mistaken it's Alexander the Great. I'm one who highly respects the past, ancient cultures. I even started from Ancient Mesopotamia, came forward all the way to today. Took me awhile to do this.

@@djAXCESSmusic Honestly, whatever you decide to cover is of interest to me. More than the actual topic is the DJ mindset that is delivered. The instruction is only as good as the practice and dedication one puts in. But the mindset lasts much longer. In this particular video, Serato DJ Pro is demystified and goes from being a challenge to a tool and you don't have to tell me that was the purpose...that comes through clearly on its own. One more time...Thank you friend, the challenges we all face today, and whatever the result, time has become important and the time spent working on this activity that I love is time well spent. Be well.

Gotta say a big THANKS young man! I've been using Serato for nearly 10 years. Mostly Weddings and corporate events...just using my MacBook and a mixer for simple beat match/crossfades. Just got my first controller (DDJ SX3) and am really getting into the musical art of DJing. Have never really had the time to go through all the settings, but stumbled upon your video. 30 minutes with you solved many of my frustrations with the program over the years. Much appreciated. Earned yourself a Like and a "Sub"! 👏 👏 👏

FYI I find sync useful when mixing two tracks that might have a very different tempo such as going from 70 to 100. It'll lock the incoming track and allow you to smoothly change both songs at the same time.

Thanks bro. As a beginner that just bought this srt1000 and had some distorted/breaking noise coming from my speakers which i never had with the sb3, but obviously there were some issues that I wasn't aware of, because the red/yellow light was always flashing in the top right corner. The information you provided about latency was enough to address the noise situation. I still have some yellow and red lights flashing maybe I need to reboot the cpu.

Really good in depth tutorial! The only thing I didn't see mentioned is the thing that's baffling me most. I've just got Serato so the version is at most 2 months newer than the version used in this tutorial. Everyone (ive watched other tutorials too) seems to have their wavebars (the coloured squiggly bits) running top to bottom and much smaller. Mine run left to right the full screen length. Is it better having them run top to bottom? And is it just drag and drop to move them?

what about your virtual deck speed? "Vinyl records sound better if they are cut at higher speeds. Through this process, records cut at 45rpm can sound more detailed and run a lower risk of distortion, noise, and other sonic artifacts that can occur during vinyl pressing than records cut at 33rpm."

I think thats pretty self explanatory. You would use 33rpm for 33s and 45 rpm for 45s. I have a feeling I dont understand what you mean.
